Gallup has him at 2%, Rasmussen at 3%(following Barbour's exit). Considering the risk to Fed funding IN Medicare it's a good bet he's in tho.
He's going to have to run and not expect a coronation.

He's not going to tick off any libertarians with this move - they'd defund Planned Parenthood too, just for different reasons. That being said, they'll all vote for Ron Paul or Gary Johnson anyway.

Scampi, you pretending to speak for libertarians....?!?!?!

for better or worse, i think he wins, gary.
is there any doubt that if it came down to daniels v. obama, that you wouldn't choose lesser of two evils, 'this time'?

It's unfair to call attention to Daniels' tiny, tiny stature, Mark.

Of the two Ethanol whores, Pawlenty and Daniels, the latter is more 'effective' fiscally. Nonetheless, Daniels leaves IN municipalities in severe pension shortfall. Unlike Pawlenty, Daniels has both houses of legislature in support. A lawyer and former pill lobbyist, he is a party insider first and foremost.
America requires a reformer. Government has become our mortal enemy. As we are all aware, energy and commodity inflation is increasing geometrically since January. Layoffs in State and Local governments have only begun. We have entered recession-or another downward step into depression. Much worse will come by November 2012 in the collapse of currencies, markets and political systems worldwide.
Experience will count for little during this trouble, character will matter far more.

Mr. Daniels is a nice man. Daniels is not going to run for President. I am afraid that Obama is going to win his second term in 2012. Donald Trump is still leading at the top of the Republican Party. Trump, Romney, Huckabee, Gingrich, Bachmann, Paul, and Palin can't beat Obama.

Too little, too late.

I've been talking to some of the swing-voting farmers in Central MN who voted Obama, just to guage the mood in Red Amerikkka.
The GOP is as deeply unpopular today as in 2008, especially following Boehner's $300-odd million in cuts for 2011. These people are no longer embarrassed by their past credulity anymore than they have identified the enemy, they know the GOP is not an agent of change.
Obama is so very weak now that the field will support, as in 1860, 3 or four major candidates in 2012. The GOP could do worse than Daniels but he is no guarantee of second place.
O'Maomba, given events, can no longer reach 40% in popular vote, most of it wasted in deep Blue states. He is a turnout.neutron.bomb.

he is kinda scrawny, barfo.
kinda like bob corker, undergoing radiation treatment.
tiny stature...?
looks like he can use his experience in helping his state as an executive.
obama get to campaign on 'his' economy, trying to come off as a bystander.
this is going to be good.
"He is a turnout.neutron.bomb."
that, he is.

My idiot, but admiring, sock-puppet.
That you could make two Daniels from Shellie Obama's hips does not diminish his stature are a leader, compared to the Man-Child.

"The final components of Gov. Mitch Daniels’ education reform package – a massive new voucher program and charter school expansion – cleared the Indiana House on Wednesday and could be law within days with just the stroke of a pen.
Two other bills affecting Indiana education have already passed – one reducing collective bargaining rights for teachers and another tying teacher pay to student performance."
Rolling the Collective back all over the nation...except Kulhifornia...
EXCELLENT..!!!!
