If Obama's lost the youth vote, if America's under 35 crowd is finally saying to themselves "We will never be as good off financially as our parents are now and the reason is runaway spending by both Democrats AND Republicans, then who's looking out for MY generation?"

And the answer of course is increasingly "The Tea Party". The younger folks I know at work and church are realizing they are so far behind where their parents are financially that they will be in hock the rest of their lives.

They're realizing the American Dream is unsustainable. They're realizing that the massive debt they will inherit will bankrupt them in a matter of years, that they will never see a dime of Social Security and Medicare that they've been paying in taxes, that they are facing an America with no future.

Do you blame them for realizing in the space of just 18 months that they've been had?

The American Dream is unsustainable? More like, Soviet-style Panacea is unsustainable.

If everyone works and works hard for what they want and get, then anything's sustainable.

Not if the Democrats "redistribute" it.

You're right. The American Dream that Obama and the Dems are selling is unsustainable, I should have made that more clear.

A conservative black president would have been so much better for all of us, except for one thing. The progressive liberals. They won't accept any conservative at any time no matter what it costs in race relations, national security, or general welfare. The media and progressive interest groups would have gone nuclear on him/her. Just think Clarence Thomas, Condi Rice, or even Colin Powell if he'd ever been a Republican candidate. Would the public have understood that the frenzy was caused by a power mad media-political complex, and rejected it, or would they have just accept some racist "Bush in blackface" meme that was bound to dominate?

I wish there was more of this on my campus, but hey, I'll take "Obama Girl" coming 'round any day of the week, if you get my meaning.

"utes". "Utes? What's a ute?

Ah, one of my favorite movies and one of the few were Joe Pesci doesn't curse every other word or kill anybody. (not counting the Lethal Weapon triage. I say triage cause they killed or at least seriously injured a potentially decent francise.)

If there is a "silver lining" in electing a black left wing liberal President it is the "eye opening" of guys like me, white middle aged taxpaying citizens that work every day to pay their taxes, care for their families, and do the right thing. I never knew how indoctrinated black Americans have become to the liberal agenda, what actually takes place and what is said in black churches, how institutionalized black racism has been accepted and dismissed somehow, how hateful black leaders really are to the America I grew up in, and how the Left keeps black citizens in the bonds of dependency to make sure they don't stray from the Democrat Plantation. I have a renewed respect for black citizens that are conservative and what they have to face every day. I never truly understood how bad the MSM was and how it cares not for reporting objective facts but has an elitist liberal agenda that trumps the actual truth and how these condescending bastards treat minorities like dogs that have to be taken care of and patted on the head. "Moderate" Democrats exposed themselves one by one as political hacks beholden to their party instead of their constituents. All three branches of government in control of left wingers with super majorities having their ideas, theories, and beliefs put in action has shown us all that it brings nothing but despair, heartache, loss of liberties, loss of property, loss of jobs, and picks our pockets to the point our women are crying, our men feel castrated, and our children's futures are bleek. Maybe we needed to see all this to make us realize that we need "adults" in government instead of these naive elitist morons that somehow snookered the people long enough to get elected and make a career of taking our liberties and picking our pockets every day.
