Redstate updates with more on the Nikki Haley story, or non-story. Unfortunately, we don't know for certain, which is what scumbag Will Folks seems to want. Also, see Stacy here.
With apologies to RedState readers (and Dan Riehl who is rather upset about the whole post from this morning), I’ve had no hesitation in stringing the media along like Folks has done. He wanted his fifteen minutes of fame and got a week. Now he needs to show us what he has and, if he has what he says he has, let Haley supporters make up their minds. No one needs to humor him with another week of sensational salaciousness. There are kids and a husband involved in this mess too.
No apology needed, Erick. I trust you want to do the right thing, as do I. If I sounded harsh, it was because people look to you for substance, more than fun, or snark. I'd suggest you let Ace handle that and stick to what you do best. So, any frustration was born more from your more meaningful influence, than lack there of, my friend.
Unfortunately, like many may be feeling right now, it is very frustrating seeing Folks and this story get the air they have been getting. So, my sense was that dragging it out, didn't help.
Frankly, other than perhaps questioning her taste in man-boys stuck in perpetual adolescence, I wouldn't care if something happened between Folks and her. If there were marital issues, now resolved, good for her. I have no idea, so no one should take that as indicative of any knowledge of the issue. But we're at a point where Folks could post a harmless pic of a hug at a campaign event and claim it was proof of something more.
Folks' conduct in this has been despicable. Someone should simply drive over and coldcock the SOB at this point. This is shaping up like a replay of McCain in 2000. And it would be a damned shame if someone's reputation, or career were ruined over it and no one ever truly knew what was what. I fear that may yet be the result of this.
