Never trust a Democrat. Or expect to. Stupak has used the lives of unborn human beings to, simply, wage more Leftwing political noise. This reminds me of Nancy Pelosi's so-called "ardent catholic" declaration while she "ardently" works to misquote, misstate, misrepresent and foil actual Catholic theology. Like Ted Kennedy and John Kerry, they are as "catholic" as it serves their Leftwing politics and therein any sincerity to Jesus Christ ends.

Never trust a Democrat. Especially the ones wearing sheeps' clothing.

WOOT!!

A great victory for the American people.

YES WE CAN

Let them all feel the wrath of the American people. Today and every day until they are out of office.

eagleeye... you are wrong. This is not a victory for the American people. It is more of a crime and disgrace. Each one that voted yes has blood on their hands. The victory as you call it would have been if this mess of a bill had been voted down and both sides had been forced to sit down together and put party politics aside and work together crafting legislation that was truly good for the people. So you m'dear may promptly go sit and spin.

ObamaCare will never, repeat NEVER come into effect- this is still a democracy over the medium-long term, anyway.

Not only do a majority of Americans reject this, just wait till they see just what's in this monstrosity- then it'll really hit the fan.

Many states will sue, the Exec Order won't stand up in court, and the HC personal mandate won't make it either- not much left after that.

While that's all going on, the GOP will be taking over, and taking names... the fight has just begun

Obama doesn't have the legal authority to pass laws for the country via EOs.

Do we need to sit the members of congress down and force them to watch School House Rock?

eagleeye is living proof that man consorted with farmyard animals...

This Executive Order is tantamount to "yes, I'll call you", "of course I'll respect you in the morning", "the check's in the mail"; and the closest analogy, "of course I won't c*m in your mouth".

They are all lies. All fake. And all will hurt people in some form or fashion. And all driven by ego and lust for power and control of others.

At least we can explain the bad taste in our mouths.

What RR said, x10.

Congratulations, Bart Stupak. You're about to test the old adage "People can call you a hero or a villain, but at least you're talking about him."

Something tells me you're going to be damned by both parties and out on your ass come November. Good luck getting a private sector job, too: "Destroyed America's economy with health care socialism" looks great on any resume!

You have awoken the sleeping giant, Democrats. And you will find its wrath to be both absolute and unbearable.

Retire from Congress. Or we will retire you come November. Never again. Your party dies today in the flames of infamy. We will stop your unjust law. We will nullify your law in state after state.

And then we will come for you.

I wasn't going to donate money to Stupak's general election opponent but now I think I will. A lot.

It looks like Stupak's general election opponent assuming he survives a primary challenge will be Dan Benishek. I suspect we'll be learning a lot about him.

He's trusting an executive order from a guy who supported legislation to let babies who survived abortion attempts die alone in hospital linen closets. He made a deal with the devil. I'll get some satisfaction out of watching him get burned by it.

What is the carhusker purchase that has been offered to Stupidpak. I wonder if it will work as well for Stupidpak as it worked for Nelson in Nebraska.

Good grief. Folks, these DEMONcrat mutts threw out single payer and the public option in order to pass this. Did you not think that they would throw public funding of abortion under the bus also? Of course they're going to do what ever Stupak wants. And that'll get them the votes they need.

Done deal. Bend over and weep.

I don't see why Stupak is being attacked here. He got want he wanted. Presidents Executive Order will block federal funding of abortions. Will it not? I just don't see how Obama can renege on it or reverse it without looking very dishonest.

You're clueless Paul. Point is, they didnt throw it out. They don't have to. Stupak caved, the ex ord is just for show.

Dennis - do you really think Obama wil care about being considered dishonest by the anti-abortion people?

Good luck repealing this folks!

Will the GOP say we must reinstate the doughnut hole to seniors?
Will the GOP advocate a return to preexisting condition loopholes?
Will the GOP say to families your under 26 yr olds have to get off your plan?
etc. etc

This hard line strategy of 100% opposition/no compromises was a failure of leadership by the GOP. Following Limbaugh, Beck, Malkin, Levin, NRO over the cliff guarantees failure.

Finally a first step against the travesty that is this country's healthcare system. Anyone who defends it is moronic and has the blood of thousands on their hands. This will save thousands upon thousands of lives. Perhaps our infant mortality rate may become better than Cuba's. Perhaps cancer patients will get treatment sooner so they don't die. Perhaps the Conservatives who so disgustingly fought against this will come to realize that the lives of Americans are more important than adhering to a political philosophy that time and time again all over the world has been proven inadequate. The free market just doesn't work for heathcare. Period. All of the attempts to show otherwise have been laughable (tort reform??).

Why is it that you people cling so strongly to a philosophy that not only harms people, but doesn't even work? You've had your chance and you blew it. Deal with it.

john... in a word... YES... and how it will be done is by having a better plan to go into effect when this is repealed so think your logic has just been flushed down the toilet on that one m'dear. Oh, another thing, I do not follow those you mentioned and also don't pay attention to whether the person is a D or R or even I or whatever other designation they could have. Both sides played party politics to the detriment of the American people to an extent and that is not what they were elected to do. We talk about those in the House right now but those in the Senate are just as much to blame for sending a garbage bill in the first place and they will be held accountable too.

"Will the GOP say we must reinstate the doughnut hole to seniors?"

Yup, when it points out that it's either that or cut benefits to everyone in the system to pay for what amounts to just a few people.

"Will the GOP advocate a return to preexisting condition loopholes?"

Considering they still exist for adults under ObamaCare, that's not a problem.

"Will the GOP say to families your under 26 yr olds have to get off your plan?
etc. etc"

Actually, the repeal would only push that back to the current regulations.

And now, let's try this one.

The GOP WILL point out the vast increase in premiums to all Americans to pay for those who don't want to work and don't want to take care of their health being guaranteed "free" health care at their expense.

The GOP WILL point out the vast amount of new expense pushed onto companies, forcing them to lay off more employees and putting even more people out of work.

The GOP WILL point out the market collapse and business contraction caused by this law's massive new tax on capital gains, including merely buying and selling a home.

The GOP WILL point out how the spiraling deficits caused by this bill drove down the US's credit rating and shrunk our economy.

For welfare addicts like John and Sam, none of those are relevant, because they don't have jobs and pay taxes. This is all about moochers like them voting themselves a brand-new check increase with the help of pathetic whores like Pelosi and Obama, who, as is noted, exempted themselves from having to follow any of these rules.

From Instapundit:

Watch the momentum on Stupak’s opponent’s facebook page. Dr. Dan Benishek is running against Stupak in Michigan. Check out the velocity of his growth since Stupak announced: Benishek for Congress

His membership is currently growing at a rate of about 20 new members every 30-60 seconds and incoming comments are fast and furious. People are begging him to set up his donation site so that they can start a money bomb.

Benishek for Congress @ Facebook http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=287806148754

I imagine Ohio's Bocceirri (as others) will have the same result on his republican opponent.

"...Oh, and as I watched him on the stage,
my hands were clinched in fists of rage.
No angel born in Hell,
Could break that Satan's spell.
And as the flames climbed high into the night
To light the sacrificial rite
I saw Satan standing with delight
The day the music died..."

- Don McLean, "American Pie"

Nice work JayJay (sorry if double post?).

It was a brilliant Dem trick to foster a phony Dem anti-bill group under Stupak, who they knew they could count on in the end. They were able to control that faction and leave the Repubs thinking that they had votes that they really didn't have. A Catholic Dem is still a Dem. Liberalism trumps religion every time. The Pope has more problems than he thinks.

Hey, maybe Obama will go campaign for Stupak to ensure his re-election! That'll do it.

"Presidents Executive Order will block federal funding of abortions. Will it not?"

It will not. It cannot.

"Perhaps our infant mortality rate may become better than Cuba's."

Right, once we adapt Cuba's style of government (which most Dems see to be on love with) then our infant mortality rate will be whatever our Maximum Leader says it is.

Bart should be fired for just plain stupidity. Obviously he doesn't know that an executive order can be rescinded. Or maybe he thinks WE are the stupid ones.

Stupak chose to kiss O'Dumbo and Peeloshi's ass rather than kiss a newborn baby. 10,000+ members have joined his opponents facebook page already. Goodbye Bart Simpson.
