Never in my life bothered to watch Steward. He is actually funny, strange thing for a liberal...

His portrayal of Sarah, in this bit at least, makes her even more endearing to me. I thought she was hillarious, I have watched the monologue so many times and still lough out loud every time.

Sarah is my girl, she has my vote regardless. I can vote for Romney if he is the candidate. Now if his supporters will stop being so condescending about Sarah... He will need her millions of supporters, while Sarah can do without his 100 supporters.....

Dan I hope the lefties do not find out that a stunt double was hired to do the monologue, it was not Sarah.... Shame on ABC, do they think the American people are stupid?

meant to say "NBC".

Someone with a more Romney-like resume and a dash of Palin's looseness and grassroots appeal might give her a run for her money in the big picture that matters most, assuming she's serious about running in 2012.

And we come to the crux of the problem. those elites in GOP want the Palin charm without giving her any power or a seat at the table. There is no one else with that charm on the national scene for the GOP leadership atm and besides a couple like Brown/rubio there isn't any in the on deck cage either. The GOP elites do not think connecting with the people is needed. In fact most look down upon the base of the GOP like bush and McCain.

So since Palin is the only person on the national scene at the moment with the wit, the charm, personility, correct on the issues that matter and the ability to rally large amounts of supporters/money/enthusaism to her and the GOP cause the GOP establishment should be building her up instead of tearing her down. They can not win with a Rommeny vs Obama. No matter how bad Obama is the people will never trust a fatcat CEO like Mitt with the reigns of power at this point in the history of the USA.

and any GOPer that thinks the anger at DC is bad, the anger in the heartland at Wall street is twice as much.

Santorum 2012 ????

Or, as glib (in the good way), but hot:

L.Cheney/Perino 2012

Or it could be that on the issues, Palin destroys Romney, who at best is a moderate Democrat whose only contribution to Republicans was serving as an object lesson to the country on how much of a failure the MassCare debacle is by using it to destroy a blue state so badly that Scott Brown was elected as a direct result.

ObamaCare is MassCare writ large.

Palin can win because she's far, far more intelligent than people give her credit for. Unfortunately that includes our own side. That needs to change, and the good news is Palin's consistently better and better speeches and appearances confirm this.

Palin isn't qualified compared to whom? Obama? Clinton? Carter? Please. It's about time we has a real American in the the White House...oh and leave it to the Republican party to put the first woman in the Oval Office.

That alone will peel off half of Obama's base.

Join her or get out of her way. She's President in 2012.

I have no doubt that Romney is a good, and decent man. My personal opinion also is that Romney is a phnoy; he's running now since 2008, and comes across as someone who's also not able to just hang it up.He needs to hang it up.
