I've often deleted the more irresponsible comments on this blog - ones frothing on about armed insurrection in the face of tyranny and so forth. And I will continue to. As I said to one commenter, why anyone even remotely serious about such a thing would note it in such a fashion is beyond stupid in the first place. But that doesn't mean I don't believe Americans wouldn't fight for their freedom if they had to. They have done just that, time and again.
As a cabal of Democrats bribed, coerced, snuck, forced and otherwise manipulated a disastrous HCR bill through the House last night in the face of bi-partisan opposition, a friend in DC relayed how bus loads of SEIU thugs were being dumped at the Capitol - presumably to depict a celebration of sorts. As we know, said cabal does have it's mob, so long as they are willing to give it transportation, pay and feeding.
As we now know from multiple demonstrations, those usual suspects are no longer the only mob capable of coming to town, nor are they close to being the largest, if need be. I don't believe freedom will go quietly into some long good night of European socialism in America. Americans, when pressed, will sue, vote and, yes, even fight for freedom when threatened. And we are now under threat of losing far too much of our freedom for us to ignore it.
What will be required to retain our freedoms in the face of this new statist tyranny, I can't say. But I will say, freedom will be secured, hopefully, at the end of what may prove to be a years-long legal and political struggle. To suggest where things might go from there would still only be mostly unhelpful speculation. But I do believe that, unlike Europeans, perhaps only too recently weened from monarchy to be so easily reduced to simply suckling at the socialist state, our personal freedom and pertinent liberties will not be denied.
The sooner Washington, DC realizes that, the better off they and all of America will be.
Already today, state AGs are stepping up to fight for our freedoms. Virginia, South Carolina and Florida are expected to soon be joined by others, as well.
Texas, Nebraska, Utah, North Dakota, South Dakota, Washington, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and Alabama are expected to join the campaign.
Not long after the now disgraced Bart Stupak let it be known his price for selling out his self-professed pro-Life principles was the thin cover of a worthless executive order and a few air-strips, the right became aware of Dan Benishek, who had already announced his intention of running against Stupak. His effort is still getting up to speed: Benishek For Congress. Paste the PayPal url there into your browser, it should work.
Later, I learned that the wandering, alleged blue dog Loretta Sanchez (CA-D 47) did show up to vote. She voted yes. Her opponent in a Right-leaning district with many conservative Vietnamese citizens is Van Tran. These are the types of people the Right should expect to embrace and elevate as we go forward to ensure our ongoing freedom from an overzealous and now seemingly out of control federal government. "The great tragedy of today’s health care legislation is not simply that it seeks to exert more control over the provision of health insurance and medical services per se, but that by doing so, it takes us farther and farther into a future in which the relationship between physician and patient will be irreparably severed."
For heaven's sake, they even managed to piss-off Rick Moran. Don't tell me we don't mean business.
In short, despite the fact that no one believes some of the basic actuarial and fiscal assumptions that under-gird this legislation — no one who isn’t besotted with partisan fervor — it was rammed down the throats of the American people with as much cynicism, trickery, deliberate obfuscation, and budgetary tomfoolery as has ever been seen for a major piece of legislation in the history of the republic.

Well I'll be damned.
Hey, here's one plank of our 2010 platform: let's zero out funding for the 16K IRS Agents. Betcha that would go over well with the public!
I can see Barack campaigning for more IRS Agents. Teehee.

When Blue Cross raises my insurance premium I plan on sending my congressman and senator a bill for the difference..imagine if every policy holder did that....

I sure do hope some insurance company has the stones to deny coverage to someone with a pre-existing condition and then sue when the governement compels them to pay for that individual's care. It would be horrible press, given the state of our media today, but the government intrusion into one's business operation is something that needs to be curtailed. If this is allowed to stand I can only imagine what business they will come after next.

Go Gault people. Stop buying stuff as long as the Dems are anywhere in power. Then the second they lose the White House and Congress go out and start spending all the money you have saved. That is what I plan on doing.
To hell with anyone who is a Democrat the filthy scum.

Another blog noted Geraldo was featured last evening on Fox as their gloating face. This morning Martha McCallum and Hemmer likewise seem ebullient. This is Fox's reason for being--corral the righty viewers, convice us to tune in for major news, and then shape the themes; that maybe things aren't as bad as you imagine, keep the mob qiet with demoralization and confusion, this legislation is inevitable anyway.

southdakotaboy...
Your 100% right on the money!
Going Gault is the answer. Check your portfolios....got any G.E., Apple, etc? Put your money where it will do want YOU want it to do. Don't patronize liberal-run establishments. Check sites like opensecrets.org and find out who is donating money to the democrats. This will be far more effective than any violence or flag waving. STARVE THE BEAST!
