If you thought the Obama Care cram down, and that's just what it would be, couldn't get any more bizarre, think, again. While Sanchez is slotted as a nay, she could opt to just not show up. And there is no play-off for the HCR bowl. The GOP's Code Red has it 212 - 212 with 7 undecideds. Sean Trend has some good analysis at RCP. But, in the bizarre and unlikely event that the vote ends at 215 - 215, the question is Lost, according to the House rules. I don't see it happening. But it actually might be the best outcome for eveyone, except for Obama and Pelosi to some degree. How ironic and non-iron-fisted that would be.
Sanchez was nowhere to be found on Saturday — she was in Florida on a fundraising jaunt, two Democratic sources said — and while leaders expected her to return for the Sunday vote on final passage, they weren’t assured. What’s more, leaders now list the Orange County Democrat as a “no” vote

Of course, if it were 215-215, with this rogue congresswoman out there gone fishin' or whatever....
Well, she would have enournous.... GI-normous, titanic, almost unprecedented, earth-shaking power, clout, and leverage, at least for the next few days or so... would she not?
I'm jus' sayin'.

That would mean a Columbian necktie, for some.

What does the "question is lost" mean? Pass or fail? Adopted or not?
I read it as a NO, it does NOT pass. Is that correct? Unlikely to happen, perhaps, but still good to know.
Is there a tie-breaker vote, like in the Senate? Doesn't look like it......
Praying fro a NO - however it is achieved!!

It means a No - the bill would fail to pass.
