Let's see - the Edwards scandal, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac melting down the economy, the reality behind Barack Obama and his campaign - I can think of a number of stories for which this could be said. It's why people who truly want to be informed today include blogs as a source for news!
THE PRESS CONFERENCE: Funny to think that the Tea Party movement is less than a year old, and that when it started only bloggers were covering it.

Excellent point, spot on.
Glenn -- like Glen -- is an entertainer, a weaver of tales, a dissembler/assembler of facts. An attorney: as long as the client has money, litigate.
A year ago the client (voters) didn't have money (blocks of votes based on common sentiments). Now they do. "Funny" to Glenn means that, while that "money" isn't tangible like figures in a bank account and is therefore "funny money," it has fungible value for a finite duration during which it can be exchanged to enrich the litigator (attorney, political advisor, etc.) who has secure employment working for the client (voters).
