I really, really do like the sound of this.
Sure, it's on Childhood Obesity. But the headline did give me hope there for a moment!
Michelle Obama is just hours from formally announcing what she called a "very ambitious" program to end the American plague of childhood obesity in a single generation

Rumor has it that Michele has been busy working her Thigh and Butt Buster several times a day! Problem is they keep getting bigger

I have a feeling Michelle is no longer proud to be an American.

Maybe if the feminists hadn't spent so much time telling women that cooking was beneath them, you would have mothers who know how to cook dinner. I loved on of the comments that suggested windowsill gardens. That would yield about one salad every two months.

I wholeheartedly disagree with anyone suggesting that cooking is beneath Ms. Obama. Frankly I would love nothing more than seeing a raging campfire beneath this woman's behind.

Oh great --- another tax payer funded mandate that intrudes on people's lives - maybe we can include the entire family in the 'free' breakfast and lunch programs at schools --- have you seen the crap they serve?
Excellent point expat. Lots could be solved if people sat down to dinner together and to a home cooked meal.

I do believe that a majority of voters will help the O-bah-muhhs with the 'Let's Move Initiative' in 2012.

Don't sneer, it's gonna work. Seeing Michelle Obama on the tube every day is guaranteed to reduce appetites across America.

"I like big butts and I can not lie...."
I think it was Sir Mix A Lot that made the phrase famous

Since when is a child's weight any of the First Lady's business?
If it is a health problem, that is between the child, her parents, and physician.
As for heavier adults, it is the set point. I have a theory that the reason heavier adults statistically suffer more heart attacks, strokes, etc. is that some spend their entire adult lives trying to lose weight and their bodies react to every diet attempt by treating it like a famine. That is why you can never lose that last ten pounds, you are already below your set point. The reason you balloon back up after a weight loss is your appetite is turned on by all of that denial and you have a lot of hungry fat cells ready to grab every lipid molecule that floats by! We all know skinny people who can eat pizzas without apparent bad effects. While those with high set points and lots of hungry fat cells can eat one 3 ounce slice and gain 3 pounds!
My advice for those with set points that make them look pudgier than they like is to simply accept it. Without the stress and abuse of body that is dieting, you might live longer and not suffer those stress related diseases. If you need to look thin, then get liposuction surgery and get rid of those damn fat cells!
But none of this is any of the government's business.

Wasn't it the liberals who basically had PE class abolished in public schools? Because poor widdle Johhny or Janie might get their feewings hurt if they drop the ball or get picked last. Bohoohoohoo. Or the school gets sued if they trip and skin their knee? Do they even do that Presidential fitness test thing anymore? Probably cancelled that too after some Progressive's teenage tranny tripped and got laughed at.

Michelle gets chubbier every day. She should set the example first.
