Works for me, now I can call liberals retards without actually saying the R word.
Re-categorizing learning disorders, including creation of a single diagnostic category for autism and other socialization disorders, and replacing the controversial term "mental retardation" with "intellectual disability"

Given Xerxes obvious mental issues what new term will they come up with for narcissist?

Interesting. Mental retardation means that cognitive development is slowed, intellectual disability means that the person is broken. Typical PC backward thinking. I wonder if the people who are upset about the word retardation know what it means?

does that mean that all conservatives are now qualified for those jobs ? the left sure seems to think they all have an "intellectual disability". Maybe the original wording was intended as a dog whistle term for other liberals. What they meant was that they'll even hire {whisper}conservatives{/whisper}

or maybe ""intellectual honesty disability" better fits the democrats. They are "honesty retarded".

I remember when the appropriate term was "Feeble Minded". When the Feds put all of these morons on the street,emptying out all the retarded and insane asylums, I knew our Federal masters, including the High Court were populated by morons, too.

Developmentally Disabled has been the catch phrase for democrats in the EMS world. Guess that will have to change.

That re-categorization is totally retarded. The English language is imprecise enough as it is without resorting to idiocies like this. Language use should be concise: use one word instead of two or a phrase or a clause. Now, because of PC we're moving away from precision towards vagueness that the language really cannot afford. What does "intellectual disability" mean? Really. I'm a Sarah Palin fan, but I think when she of the pithy and effective phrase decided to smack the Democrats with their own terror tactics (and that is what she did: since the Libs have a nasty habit of gunning for Conservatives and demanding firings for "violation" of the Libs PC speech codes, I think Palin decided to hoist Rahm Emanuel with the Libs petard), she did us a great disservice. I appreciate that the 'Cuda goes for the jugular, but please, retarded is retarded. No amount of verbal frills will change that an "intellectually disabled" person is retarded. Now we all have to wonder just who else, apart from the actually retarded and Lib retards, fall under the "intellectual disability" label. Moronic.

Excuse me, shouldn't that be "differently-abled intellectually"?
Potty mouth.
