Should we be surprised given that a community organizer has his mitts into the Federal Treasury now?
ACORN and other left-wing advocacy groups could be eligible for up to $3.99 billion in federal funding included in the $3.83 trillion fiscal 2011 budget blueprint that President Obama unveiled yesterday.
The $3.99 billion comes from a congressional slush fund known as the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, which is part of the Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) $48.5 billion fiscal 2011 budget. CDBG grants, which are awarded to states and localities, pass indirectly to ACORN.

"Congress has already hinted it might vote to restore funding to ACORN. On Dec. 8 the House Appropriations Committee rejected on a party line vote of 9 to 5 an amendment offered by Rep. Tom Latham (R-Iowa) that would have blocked federal funding of ACORN."
I can't help but feel that in a sense, this is a good thing, so long as blogs like this one keep up the exposure. People need to know that the Democratic Party=ACORN, and distance themselves accordingly. The image of ACORN has been wrecked beyond repair to the electorate, I think that that's been proven. So let them drown together.

I find it hard to believe that all of the Democrats are ready to throw themselves on a sword for the chosen one. If they pass this budget it is almost the same as putting a sign on their backs saying vote me out. Can these people really be so ideological that they would handicap their careers? Are they seriously expecting voter fraud to save them a la financing ACORN? It is really scary times.
