h/t Josh Trevino on Twitter via Ace of Spades to this story.
A family source said Bishop, a mother of four children - the youngest a third-grade boy - was a far-left political extremist who was “obsessed” with President Obama to the point of being off-putting.
While unclear if it's the same Amy Bishop, there was someone by that name on a Vegan posting board defending Obama back on June 4, 2009. Given the spelling of color in 2nd item, it's likely a different Amy Bishop.

The Telegraph newspaper, where your quote came from, is an extremely right wing, racist newspaper from the UK. You shame yourself, and your fellow Americans, by quoting and believing their claptrap.I take it you are a christian? Where is your christian charity, your care and consideration for others, and your humility? Why did you feel the need to misspell the label 'Muslim'? Bitter sneering and sniping is not a good look, but it is one that christians recently feel the need to adopt with increasing frequency. I'm sure your friend Jesus would not find it acceptable. What do you think?

You are so right! Change is BAD! People who want change are WICKED! Let's keep things just as they are, and threaten and/or kill anyone who disagrees with our
personal view of the invisible sky fairy! Even if they believe in a different invisible sky fairy!Ever thought about Jesus's skin colour, by the way? Or do you just presume it was white, because that was how he is portrayed in the books you read. I suggest you do a little geographical research, if you are unsure.

"Let's keep things just as they are,

That clinches it. In the Lifetime movie about her life, she will be depicted as an extremist KKKhristian conservative.

spelling could have been due to her using the English version replying in the Telegraph

"was a far-left political extremist who was “obsessed” with President Obama to the point of being off-putting."
There were a lot of people who fit that discription in 2008. Chris Mathews comes to mind. Any number of Prius owners. The staff of the NYT.

The phrase “Amy Bishop Was Obsessed with Obama” can be read two ways:
1) This woman thought positively of him and wished him no harm
…but infinitely more likely since she clearly had violent tendencies toward people who held some type of authority…
2) She was negatively obsessed. Like the three people she killed the other day (who happen to be people of color) the Pres. probably is/was on her Crazy-Town Hit List.
Amy Bishop killed 3 people – pretty much all the minority faculty at UAHuntsville. Dr. Podila was from India, Dr. Adriel Johnson and Dr. Maria Davis were African American. Interesting theory, if you translate "obsessed" as she "worshipped" the first African American president.
Anyway, this politicized discussion is distracting people with craziness – why aren't there more posts which mourn the loss of these three doctors? And don't forget to show concerns for the three other people she clipped and/or seriously wounded...a Mexican American, and two Anglo Americans.

Gwinky: You see them as "Hyphenated Americans"?
Mexican American
Anglo American
African American
Shame you can't just accept people based on the content of their character, rather than their race, color, or country of birth.
