Mark Levin Comments On Beck's Girlish Humor Over Scott Brown

In the event Glenn Beck, CPAC's non-conservative political azzclown, contacts Brian, I'd like to know a couple things. How does he get off saying something like this below, when, aside from issuing books on Christmas Sweaters, or ripping off Thomas Paine, he strikes me as someone who needs to keep a well-fingered copy of Liberty and Tyranny handy so he has at least some idea what he's talking about.

His politics are libertarian. ... And he rejects the implication that his is a lowbrow appeal: "You name the conservative that can do a full hour—a full hour—on Woodrow Wilson and the roots of modern liberalism—for an hour—and have high ratings with it. . . . I had like three really big eggheads on the show, and people watched it. Now, you could be Charlie Rose all you want, but nobody's watching Charlie Rose."

Geez, what am I thinking? Better check that. Maybe it's not the important question here. Books about children, fuzzy sweaters and "huffy bikes?" A supposedly adult male seeing a loving father like Scott Brown dote on his daughters and equating it with sex? Hmm. Yanno, maybe it's Glenn Beck and not Scott Brown who needs a chasity belt. A young girl may not make it to the required age for an intern given some of Glenn Beck's curious preoccupations and points of view, now that I think about it.

And here I thought the media was done abusing Sarah Palin's daughters. I hope she isn't taking them along on her forays into the Fox studios. It never hurts to be too careful when there are media types with impure thoughts about young girls in their minds around. heh!

beck is officially a buffoon. i think he is trying to show that he can criticize people on his side thereby adding (in his mind) to his credibility. a better way for him to add to his credibility would be to write a book 1/10th as good as Liberty and Tyranny.

Do you know what? We've spun the whole idea of decency on its head. Bill Clinton, because of his own behavior, could never make a joke with his daughter(s) the way Scott Brown did. The girls reactions were brilliantly funny. For that matter, neither could Ted Kennedy, Eliot Spitzer or John Edwards, just to name a few. And we wonder why libs don't have a sense of humor.

As for Beck, well, Mark said it best. And huzzah to Mark for saying it. We're Republicans, we eat our own -- as maddening as that can be sometimes. Beck is one of us, unless he chooses to follow Rod Dreher and Conor Freidersdork to Elba. Or he can choose St. Helena.

Howard what's his name over at Newsweek would've been wise to have eaten Keith Overbite over his racism last night. Instead he played along with it showing himself to be a buffoon or a bigot. Good Job Overbite!

When I read that quote, I thought it was crazy. In general I think beck is interesting infotainment, but it's more tain, than info, in what is mented.

Any guy who has ever been around young women in a filial way has done much the same. I joke with my young second cousins when I meet their boyfriends (this was a long time ago.) "should I beat them up?" and then get hit by my second cousins.

Like Mark Levin (I don't have children, but I have witnessed it.) The "oh daddy!!" moments of embarassment consist of a lot more affection than embarrasment (however you spell it.) It's a sign of a good family connection to be able to play silly like that.

I didn't see any frowns from browns family at the comment, I saw "Oh DADDY! YOU ARE GONNA PAY!" playfule laughter.

Beck is an interesting mix of something which I can't quite nail down. I watch or listen to him rarely so I am not real familiar with his thinking. I do appreciate Beck's ability to get under the Left's skin and he has managed to de-rail a few radicals but overall I see him fitting somewhere in the orbit of Populist-LeftyTarianism. Another one of the losers that claim that a every politician is equally bad, especially when his own ox is getting gored.
