Oh, this is rich. Obama is going to issue a stern warning to his agencies, no finger pointing.
The problem for Obama is, he was the first one to stand up with his finger pointed when the whole thing went down.
One day the President is pointing the finger and blaming the intelligence services, saying there is a systemic failure,’ said one agency official. ‘Now we are heroes. The fact is that we are doing everything humanly possible to stay on top of the security situation. The deaths of our operatives shows just how involved we are on the ground.’
More from first link above. Heckuva job, Barry. Heckuva job! Try doing it with deeds and not just words next time. It might play better for you, dude!
President Barack Obama will deliver a stern warning to his appointees at a meeting Tuesday afternoon that he won’t tolerate efforts by the CIA, the State Department and others to shift blame for the recent intelligence foul-up to other parts of the government, said spokesman Robert Gibbs.
“We are going to move beyond agency finger-pointing,” Gibbs told reporters. “The president will not find acceptable a response where everybody gets in a circle and points at someone else. The American people won’t accept that.”
Twenty of the nation's top security officials are gathering in the Situation Room to hear Obama demand answers about the intelligence failures that failed to prevent the attempted bombing of an airliner on Christmas Day.

Obama is such an amateur!

Not sure why he thinks America won't accept that. Nobody in government was reprimanded after 9/11, so apparently we have a pretty high tolerance for government ineptitude

angela ...
we were not at war on 9/11 ... we didn't have Homeland Security and the other layers of government created specifically to deal with this sort of threat ... we do now ...
Why is it in todays world nobody will take credit for a failure ... Why is it assumed that someone else has to point out my failure ...
Good thing nobody in that meeting can point fingers because otherwise they might be pointing at the White House as the source of the changes to process that allowed this to occur ...
Now THAT would be speaking truth to power ...

No finger pointing, clause #1: unless it's at Bush. This dope has spent a whole year of "it was like that when I got here"
