Not a huge turn-out, but some Tea Party folks had the determination to show up despite Detroit's well below freezing temperatures during the auto show, other groups did, as well. Pictures and some video here. Two interesting, possibly even troubling items of note - a black LaRouche supporter with poster of a Hitler-mustached Obama, how's that for diversity? And the Tea Party folks that gathered outnumbered the number of Detroit Muslims who showed up at a previous anti-terror event. The latter is both surprising and disappointing to me.
The temperature was in the teens,the wind chill was at zero, yet dozens of tea party protesters showed up regardless of the harsh conditions to exercise their free speech right and demand a redress from Congress.
So considering the weather and driving conditions, not a bad turnout at all, and far better than the 12 Muslims that showed up for a terrorism protest under much better weather and driving conditions.
