Looks as though if a Massachusetts Dem wins a special federal election, they get it certified ASAP if the vote is needed in Congress. However, were Scott Brown to defeat Martha Coakley, Democrats are already suggesting any election certification could be delayed. Kennedy's current fill in intends to support the issue with a yes vote no matter what.
In contrast, Rep. Niki Tsongas (D-Lowell) was sworn in at the U.S. House of Representatives on Oct. 18, 2007, just two days after winning a special election to replace Martin Meehan. In that case, Tsongas made it to Capitol Hill in time to override a presidential veto of the expansion of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program.
Yesterday, Brown, who has been closing the gap with Coakley in polls and fund raising, blasted the political double standard.
“This is a stunning admission by Paul Kirk and the Beacon Hill political machine,” said Brown in a statement. “Paul Kirk appears to be suggesting that he, Deval Patrick, and (Senate Majority Leader) Harry Reid intend to stall the election certification until the health care bill is rammed through Congress, even if that means defying the will of the people of Massachusetts. As we’ve already seen from the backroom deals and kickbacks cut by the Democrats in Washington, they intend to do anything and everything to pass their controversial health care plan. But threatening to ignore the results of a free election and steal this Senate vote from the people of Massachusetts takes their schemes to a whole new level. Martha Coakley should immediately disavow this threat from one of her campaign’s leading supporters.”

Those bastards.. the entire lot of them.

These people must not understand that a revolution is under foot. Their action later in the light of day, even in the blind state of Mass., will be seen as the most UnAmerican act of their sorry political careers. These are small people who depend on the corruption of the political process to achieve their goals. Their are too may good people, Ind., Dems.,Repubs, to allow this criminal activity to continue in their names.
Please, please go to the polls and vote for a temporary halt to the madness in DC. Vote for a good and decent man, Scott Brown.

Why should this be a surprise. Come on these are the same guys who add 300-400 page amendments at 3 am in the morning, an hour before the vote. Not to mention other atrocities.

The only thing Democrats and people on the left understand is force plain and simple. All to often we on the right just forgive them and let them get away with whatever underhanded trick they pulled. When are we going to wake up to the fact that we need to slpa these scumbags down and thenmake sure that they never get back up again.
We need to do more than just talk about how we will take back Congress. Hell even if we do how much you want to bet that the people we put in there will just start worring about how they can get along with the Dems.
We need people to run who will state openly that they plan to root out the left in this country root and branch. We need leaders who will make it plain to lefty Judges that their days are numbered if they get in our way of cleaning up this country.
We need leaders who will plainly state that they are going to clean the lefties out of our classrooms. We need to drag those lefty leaders who have harmed our country to the borders, strip them of their citizenship and throw them out. We need to let them know that if we catch them in the country again we will hang them for treason.
These ideas sound harsh and radical, but if we aren't willing to do these kinds of things fairly soon the left will be running this place just like the old Soviet Union. You can count on it.

Events will overtake the Democrats in a manner they can no longer control and in such a way that blaming Bush is no longer operative.
