There are those in DC who expect Martha Coakley to arrive victorious on Wednesday.
“We’re all waiting for Wednesday morning when we have Martha Coakley joining us down there.”
View it however you might, for her part, Coakley is putting on a positive front today.
BOSTON -- Democrat Martha Coakley says her campaign's get-out-the-vote efforts will win her an unexpectedly tight Massachusetts Senate special election. She said Monday that "we have a race, but we're really confident that we're going to make this happen."
This weekend, I had a good 2-3 hour discussion with someone I'd call a Euro-socialist. With strong roots in America, dual citizenship and a job that takes him around the world, though living in Europe, now - I was amazed at his worldview.
I may post on the conversation one day. But from China, to Cuba, Europe and American, it surprised me in that I sensed his willingness to accept statism over outright democracy. If he thought any government dangerously oppressive without justification, it was an American government closely aligned with a blunt freedom and free market capitalism.
Point being, as so many Democrats think like Euro-socialists today and Obama's agenda is so critical to them, don't think they won't do anything to win this race. They will. For Scott Brown to win, it will take all the votes, and possibly more, being counted, with Brown then having an un-contestable edge and subsequently being sworn in.
If we take anything for granted before that point, we will most likely come out on the losing end. The Democrats will have revolving doors on polling booths if they can get away with it tomorrow. On that we can depend.
To win will require a virtual voter bomb for Scott Brown.

Here's the most interesting numbers in the Dems' own (PPP) poll:
Brown is up 51-46% over Coakley. In the same poll, Obama's approval rating is 44% and Obamacare 40%. Only 38% of the same voters are sure that ACORN won't try to steal the election.
Only 38%. The rest of these voters at least entertain the possibility that ACORN will try. That speaks volumes. That's the lesson of 2008...the voters don't trust the Democrats.
And that's why Brown needs to win this election by double digits. He will, but only if all the people say they will vote for him do so. It has to not only be large enough to send a message to Obama and Washington, it has to be large enough to beat the illegal interference 62% of Massachusetts voters are at least believing is possible in this race.

The unexpected snow storm arriving on the eve of the election may not work in the favor of anyone in MA on election day.
Although the snow plows are out in force, reaching the back woods roads may take some doing, and many voters may be left without means to get to the polls.
The lesson is that campaigns need to check the weather way before an election to prevent what might otherwise be unwelcome surprises that can frustrate campaigns and ruin years of work in a day.
Presumably, both parties are scrambling to provide needed transport to polls for those who otherwise might pass on the election.

The Democrats have been pretty good about getting out the vote. They even manage to get the dead to the polling place to cast ballots.

The fraud these days is in the absentee. ACORN's expertise in getting the fraudulent registrations, which the party apparatus then uses to vote absentee for those non-persons. That way the fraudulent registrations are never purged like when the dead actual people voted in Democrat machines of old. No more embarassments when a dead person actually voted absentee since non-persons can't be tracked as alive or dead. Plus its much harder to catch felons at the other end of a mailed ballot than if they had to vote in person, and no weather issues. If absentee for Coakley is high, that's ACORN's work showing through.

The cemetery precincts are always 100 percent Democrat voters. Heck, even the dead Republicans vote Democrat.
