That's a gross over-simplification. Obama promised all sorts of things during the campaign, chief among them, changing Washington, as Dems seem to always do despite the largest part of it being them. At the same time, not being Bush wouldn't mean anything if they hadn't spent the better part of eight years trying to destroy him by running him down at every turn.

One shouldn't confuse a campaign strategy with a political strategy over the longer term. The former is often higher-ground stuff, while the latter is usually about attacking your opponent to weaken him when you're out of power.

the Left played dirty at every turn ... they always kept up a constant stream of body shots at Bush on every issue almost before the dust had settled at the WTC. We need to do the same to Obama, hitting him on his lies and broken campaign promises everyday ... and when he lifts his head to defend NaPo we need to hit him in the politcal face as hard as we can ...

It is the natural tendancy of the Intel community and most DHS front liners to be more not less aggressive with potential threats and it is because of the Obama PC dictates that the system failed in this case. The sooner this clown is forced to get serious the safer America will be and nothing makes you serious faster than a punch in the face. Of course his natural first reaction will be to punch back at his critics. Eventually he'll get around to punching Islamists.
