Okay, so you don't support public health care. What does that equate to in Harry Reid's battered little mind? Well, obviously, you'd be all for slavery were this 1957 all over, again. Naturally, what he fails to mention is, that would also make you a Democrat.
What a disgusting irresponsible comment. And people wonder why there are racial divisions remaining in this country. Reid and the Democrats can't resist playing the race card every time.
More via Michelle Malkin, as well.
Instead of joining us on the right side of history, all the Republicans can come up with is, 'slow down, stop everything, let's start over.' If you think you've heard these same excuses before, you're right," Reid said Monday. "When this country belatedly recognized the wrongs of slavery, there were those who dug in their heels and said 'slow down, it's too early, things aren't bad enough.'"
He continued: "When women spoke up for the right to speak up, they wanted to vote, some insisted they simply, slow down, there will be a better day to do that, today isn't quite right.
"When this body was on the verge of guaranteeing equal civil rights to everyone regardless of the color of their skin, some senators resorted to the same filibuster threats that we hear today."
That seemed to be a reference to Thurmond's famous 1957 filibuster -- the late senator switched parties several years later.

I can't wait to gloat after Danny Tarkanian or Sue Lowden sends this turd back to Searchlight.

this guy needs a metal cup to piss in if given a piss test, a plastic one would melt from all the chemicals in his blood stream. i wonder at what point dems in the senate realize he is on some type of kamakazi mission and knows that he is going to loose his seat so he's saying f-it and he looses control in the senate?

"I can't wait to gloat after Danny Tarkanian or Sue Lowden sends this turd back to Searchlight."
Know why they call Harry Reid's hometown "Searchlight?" The people who live there need one to find Reid's head since it's stuck so far up his a**.

And what party was it that supported slavery? What party that opposed women voting? What party filibustered the Equal Rights Act?
The same one that is on the wrong side of history on Obamacare and Cap and Tax. And it ain't the Republicans.

Reidis too stupid to play the race card! Indeed, along with Joe Biden and hair-plug Spector and flip-flop Kerry, Dingy Harry is a perfect example of just how colossally unread and overtly uneducated most top Demo-rats in Congress are. Barbara Lee in CA tells her cheering illiterate constituents that she won't read the Health Care mini-forest of dead trees before voting---she herself might be dyslexic besides emotionally impaired. And a lot of her fellow Black Caucus crime spree members like Rangel and Jefferson should be in jail [oops, Jefferson is cooling in the slammer as we sit here!].
And how about Babs Boxer who wants the whistleblower on the CRU e-mail leaks investigated? Did she complain when the NYT leaks sensitive intel that might harm our collection methods and agents? Doubt it. And of course the Botox bi-yotch who is Speaker of the House herself---but to give her credit there's a rumor that she cut a deal with Stupak on abortion to pick up a Vatican medal to wave at her crime family colleagues---they appreciate bling from God.
Can't wait for the MSNBC all-whites to claim that Abe Lincoln was a secret Demo-rat at heart, just like his soul buddy John Wilkes Booth. Now there was a real Dem-tard!!!

The really insulting part is that Reid thinks we're all as stupid as he is...

I think the obsessions with semantics in this country is distracting us from the spirit of our conversations and our Constitution. Regardless of whatever polarized side of the aisle you claim, we are all being misled, regularly. Focus here, so that we can do what we want over there. Quit taking the bait! This isn't a battle of good versus evil, rep or dem, people don't all fit into two damn groups, and if you think that's so, you are a fool. The only point he was trying to make is that when a good idea came along, people always fought for the status quo. Keep things the same. This is always the case. People are creatures of habit, and this is no exception. We fear change, because change us unknown, and the unknown is a terrible abyss to face. And here he is trying to push healthcare, which implemented poorly would be a problem, but is still a good idea. It's no patriot act, which, speaking of big government, is a terrible blight on our liberty, but I see no uproar about that.
But I digress. My only point is that it doesn't matter what words he used, its what he was saying, and we'll get nowhere if people spend all their time nitpicking the words used instead of hearing the damn message. That goes for liberal moderate and conservative.

The bizarre thing is that the doctrine of Obama's church in Chicago is fundamentally based on racism and no one looks into that, even though Obama ran on racial guilt and they regularly call his opponents racist. See this link for more info on the racism of Obama's chruch.

It is reasonable to assume that if someone is in an racist group for twenty years that he is a racist, wether he is overt about it or not.

Only one thing is certain--Harry will do what is best for HARRY! Since he can't seem to beat any of his challengers in the polls for his reelection, perhaps he will listen to his constituents and get rid of the stinky public option. It's the only hope of getting something passed, and the dems need SOMETHING--ANYTHING passed regardless of who it harms.
