I wonder what's worse given his religion? A DNA test, or being assigned a female lawyer? He's now being held in a federal prison. The lawyer is looking for grounds to fight the request.
DETROIT (AP) -- An attorney for a Nigerian man charged with trying to blow up a Northwest Airlines plane near Detroit says he's been transferred to a federal prison.
Miriam Siefer (SEE-fuhr) says she hasn't had in-depth talk yet with Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab (OO-mahr fah-ROOK ahb-DOOL-moo-TAH-lahb) since he was charged Saturday. Siefer, the chief federal defender in Detroit, called the charges serious but declined further comment.
She's too gorgeous for that job. Perhaps she works for the CIA and will be a world-class tool to use on this waste of flesh, bone & brains from Nigeria.

Of course it is well noted on Google that she gave $1000 to Clinton/Gore '96 Gen Election Legal & Accounting Compliance on October 30, 1996. Considering that I've went from Lieberman Democrat in 2004 to Palin Republican in 2009, I don't count that for much. 9/11 happened, the left wing oppo to ending tyranny in Iraq occurred, the Rossi v. Gregoire happened, the e-lynching of Sen. Lieberman happened and of course POTUS Obama happened.
That said, it appears to me she is a professional a la professional and not the kind to harbour anti-American views. She works by the book, and you can expect the prosecution to have a fair, clean fight on their hands.
Of course, if I were POTUS, this terrorist would be sent not to Gitmo but to a special terrorist prison, the prosecution would have to produce habeas corpus w/in 72 hours upon threat of release & compensation and then interrogated most vigorously. It is a waste of Miriam Siefer's talents & experience to send her to defend this terrorist scum of the earth, but I salute her for defending the Constitution & judicial process I suppose...

Judging by the name, he's got a female Jewish lawyer. But his family is wealthy, so perhaps they'll hire a lawyer more to his tastes.
