For Chuckles Johnson, It's Meltdown Number Two

Charles "Chuckles" Johnson has nailed a disturbed and confused manifesto upon the door of his own little private hell of a Black Hole of the blogosphere. When even tempered blogger James Joyner fisks you into ridiculousness, you know you've, well, jumped the lizard, I suppose.

What intrigues me about this positive response from Culture Kitchen is how quick they are to move past but acknowledge a previous Chuckles meltdown of sorts. Chuckles was never a card-carrying member of the Right, as I tried to tell Markos last night on Twitter. But people are only hearing, or reading what it is they want to read. Chuckles wasn't even much of a neo-con truth be told. He heard little brown people under his bed and became convinced they were climbing over the walls to get at him. In fact, he became worse than many of the very people he now calls names and claims to despise for their, in many cases, imagined hate.

Little Green Footballs went to such a deep end that even a white (albeit nuanced) supremacist Norwegian like the anonymous blogger Fjordman (a darling of the extreme-right blogosphere), had called out Charles Johnson and his blog as examples of Islamophobia and racism in the blogosphere. It also earned the blog it's own "watch blog" (LGF Watch) and even the scorn of Zionist and anti-Jihadist activists.

So is there something new going on at LGF? Are they coming back from that dark ring of hate they used to dwell in?

No, Chuckles has simply replaced one enemy with another. I suppose, as with some, he requires such a thing to survive. Chuckles isn't having an awakening, he's simply living out whatever the hell it is that passes for a reality of sorts in his cyber-induced dream-dementia of a world. Were he ever to truly awaken, he'd probably leave blogging behind. His mind simply isn't strong enough to maintain a single identity as he goes along and posts.

Long live the king, the king is dead, again. One terrorist attack and he'll most likely be back, so infantile is his reasoning. Poor Chuckles Johnson isn't grounded in any one reality at all. It happens out here on the internets, unfortunately for some. Others would do best to simply chuckle with him and move along.

CJ was never a right sider and the only thing that made the blog even worth while was the vast commenter community that was far an above better than any of CJ's own content.

In the last several months he has banned over 5000 of his former users for every excuse he could dream up and rebuilt a new yes men group for his going home to the left.

He lost his seat on the right and chose to go to the left. The likely cause of that is he is hoping to angle his way into some of the pay for post funding left side blogs can hook up with.

If anything the left will only accept him now simply to trot out as needed as being a 'former rightside' blogger.

One thing for sure his user base is no where near up to the quality it was in the past.

LGF was never very interesting, and the Riehlworldview is better being devoted to discussing real issues, like the cognitive dissonance in Obama's world view, the documented dishonesty of the global warming freaks, or the rank stupidity of Joe Biden. Yeah they really kicked their own asses in the NJ and VA governors races. I mean they got their butts handed to them. And in NY-23 the Republican and Conservative got 51 percent of the vote. Clearly there is an overwhelming trend towards democrats.

Honestly, in what reality do you live? I don't know one person, on the left or right, democrat of republican, who thinks the democrats are going to stand a chance in 2010.

Well Neo, there's good philosophy and bad (quality and integrity) philosophy. But there's also a lot of science and historical evidence. But it is a vast field where even an expert can only sample some aspects of the general arguement.

I think I could manage a coherent arguement for Creationism, but it would probably take several thousand words at least. But "Kalam Cosmological Arguement" for philosophy and "Genetic Entropy" for science might be good places to start with a google search.

TK hits it right on the nail-head. It is really less an argument over left vs. right than it is a struggle for liberty vs. totalitarianism.

Although about 9 times out of ten, it will be the socialist left that are the folks gunning for your individual rights to be replaced with "collective rights" that will fatten the coffers of the (leftist) party elites and their most ardent supporters, whilst the proletariat "hoi polloi" are left scrambling for the collective's crumbs.
