Now, just one Obama-loving minute, here. That "two-bit mook" got a sophisticated bomb capable of bringing down an airliner past our security, and he's the idiot? Something went wrong, or it was misconfigured. But if that's what a "mook" can do, how about the then allegedly real thing in Ambinder's mind? Do they not exist? Because it looks as though they don't exist in Obama's mind just now, true, or not.
What, because the guy didn't get it past Obama's security it's no big deal? Would someone get this fool Ambinder a copy of the Constitution so he knows who is primarily responsible for protecting and defending this country. Geesh. And I take it Ambinder doesn't read Huff-Po, or he thinks it's on the Right? Echo chambers might be fine when your stock is going up. Obama's has been going down since he was inaugurated. And his Hawaiian vacation right now isn't going to help. God forbid there's any additional incident over New Years. The people will be calling for this guy to go now, instead of waiting three more years.
In fact, he's been golfing. He received a counterterrorism briefing early this morning, Hawaii time, and moments later, left for the gym. The president's vacation activities might have become the subject of a fierce partisan fight -- but really, the only carping is coming from the usual suspects on the right.
There is a reason why Obama hasn't given a public statement. It's strategy.
Here's the theory: a two-bit mook is sent by Al Qaeda to do a dastardly deed. He winds up neutering himself. Literally.
If it's strategy, then Obama is making strategery look like pure genius these days. It also looks like one of the qualifications for writing at The Atlantic is a willingness to embarrass yourself. Mission accomplished, Ambinder. Don't get up. You look mighty busy down there. Say Hi to Andy for me at the shift change.
Update: Don't forget to tell Conor with one N to grab the mop and get the floor when you're done.

Obama is "projecting his calm" over a failed terrorist attack for the nation's benefit, while Bush was the one who projected panic over four successful terrorist attacks on American soil that claimed the lives of thousands of its citizens.
Apple meet orange.
I think we need to start requiring journalists and public writers to take and PASS Logic 101.

NeoBlonde, a few might need a serious drug test, too. Andrew Sullivan comes to mind. Just to name one of many.

"two bit mook"? Gee, "mook", y'know, seems uncomfortably close to that other perjorative starting with a "g."
Nahh, Marc Ambinder can't be officially ID'd as a raaaaacist. Ambinder voted for Obama, so he must have already received his get-out-of-jail-free card countersigned by David Axelrod.

Islamic jihad terrorism? What Islamic jihadi terrorism?

Best defense ... good offense. This preventable attack ... happened on Chucklehead's watch (there will be more). And why the "T" word was actually used. Pharaoh didn't drop the ball, f*ckface is in the muzzy huddle.
I never watch/listen to the Rushbo ... but the strategy IS ... to destroy America.
Me ... I'm just teenkin Abdul got on the wrong plane (wink wink).
No Babe, we ain in Kansas no mo child.

"There is a reason why Obama hasn't given a public statement. It's strategy."
He is waiting for Jon Stewart Comedy Show so that his Hollywood audience can return to their normal state of having their collective head shoved up Stewart's anal cavity entertained by the wonderment found deep inside; this strategy helps the Hollywood audience forget the reality of the world around them.

At what point do we come to grips with the fact that by 2012, we will have been attacked again and Americans will die unless Obama is removed from office?
Hasn't this been arguably the worst week in an utterly failed presidency so far? Obama is playing golf in Hawaii right now when he should be planning our strike on Yemen.
Dereliction of duty is an impeachable offense, is it not? Is that not what true conservative candidates should be running on in November?

We, the majority of the nation's voters (but not all of us), lost sight of the fact we are at war with Islam. It does not matter that we did not declare it- they have repeatedly done so, we just refuse to acknowledge it officially. A Democrat is the last person you want in the White House during war time. A president as weak as Obama makes things 100x worse. One thing remains true throughout history, the longer you allow a problem to fester, the more serious, and bloody, it becomes when you finally have to deal with it. Time to lock up the carrots and loose the big sticks.

Ah, Ambinder and the rest of the media still cannot get off the Obama gloryhole. It will perhaps take a major terrorist incident (hopefully not) to finally get these liberal media guys to finally wipe their mouths and realize just what they are doing. But by then they will have swallowed more than they can chew and the apologist excuses will no longer be effective as America will want to have some serious questions answered and will hold the administration and it's whoring media accountable. So Ambinder, continue enjoying what you love to do, be sure to clean up after yourself and give the other lefty media guys a turn, but remember, you will have to face the reality one day, the reality that your a whore.

What the heck, we have a "two bit mook" playing golf in Hawaii as we speak.
And no "mook" is not a failed spelling of "gook". A "mook" is a low life criminal in New York--at least called that by the cops.
Mr. "I regret that I only have one set of genitalia to give to my Jihadist buddies" is not a low life; he is a child of Nigerian privilege, lived in a $3 million plus town house in London, and got an expensive university education in England. Daddy was the Economics Minister of Nigeria, and also the Chairman of the Board of one of Nigeria's leading banks.
No, not a "two bit mook"--rather he is a "two million dollar mook".
He got a start on burning on the plane; may the rest of him burn in Hell.

"Pharaoh"? Oh that's a perfect name, for his Royal Highness, The Once.

The wanker at HuffPo wiped his post and calls that "owning" his mistakes, or something equally stupid. And has closed comments.
What a douche.

It will not be long before today's so-called conservatives blame the crucifiction of Christ on Obama.

"It will not be long before today's so-called conservatives blame the crucifiction of Christ on Obama"
The crucifixion occurred when Oba Mao's followers believed Oba Mao to be the Messiah; they waiting for the peace promise along with free gas and paid mortgages.
"Smart Government"- the religion for masses of unwashed idiots

Syn - good one, smart government - the religion of liberal/progresssives. That says it all.
There will be no economic recovery but the Prophet Obama does not like free enterprise, does not like profit, therefore no economic growth.
Barry likes top-down, government "command and control" economics, where the elite political class like himself, get to decide winners and losers and the productive class's money is taxed and redistributed to The Once's most loyal constituents, whoc promise their voting loyalty to Pharoah Obama.

Wow, everyone at the Atlantic - and in the oval office - is a homosexual? Being gay is bad! You showed them Flintstone. You're a manly man. So, manly, um ah, dirty manly man. I feel urges, men on their knees, Fred Flintstone, Conor cleaning up manly messes. Flinstone, FLINTSTONE, FLINNSTONNNE!!!!! Ah, I need Conor to clean up my mess. Thank you Fred!

What officials? Sounds more like Ambinder style manufactured controversy to me a bit like all those ridiculous quotes from "advisers" and "activists" in this morning's Wapo. Sorry Marc sounds like bs to me. In fact your whole shtick that the Obama white house don't know what they are dealing with on this (you've taken much the same stance in another piece elsewhere) assumes these guys are amateurs instead of some of the sharpest political minds in the country. This pot stirring is awfully juvenile but anything for traffic I guess.

Sorry, but terrorism is not a political problem.
The difficulty here is that you have a bunch of Chicago thug politicians in charge, who only know how to bribe away their problems or call other people racist.
Al-Qaeda accepts bribes, but it's never stopped them from attacking, and given their ideology, I don't think they care how many times Obama calls them racists. Add to that the fact that Obama openly sympathizes with those who want to blow up and kill American citizens, i.e. his mentor Bill Ayers, and believes that attacks against the United States are justified, i.e. his mentor Jeremiah Wright, and we have someone who is not only un-equipped to deal with the problem, but who doesn't even think it's a problem in the first place.
