Via A.C. Kleinheider. Next time more exhibits, please. heh! I like the look of such things when reading political news. Will the new feminism be center-Right, now that the old line feminists have so repeatedly shown their willingness to sell-out? It never was about women for them. It was ideology uber alles. The genuine identity of most adult American women has always been somewhat center-Right.
Beyond a steady rightward shift and an increasingly reactionary rhetoric, conservative leadership is taking on another characteristic — it’s becoming more female. Both nationally and in Tennessee, the most beloved and vocal conservative leaders these days seem to be women.
Exhibit A is the 2008 presidential campaign and the continued popularity of Sarah Palin.
In Tennessee, conservative women are not just minor leaders or lawmakers; they’re powerful and prominent ones — and looking to become more so.

YES! The new feminism is center RIGHT baby!!! Nothing like a woman who actually LOVES her husband and children and her Constitution and gets to her position of POWER with the aforementioned family. It stands ugly, pathetic OLD dried up bitter bitties who have attempted to DESTROY the family and men on their heads. I as a woman enjoy the NEW feminist and Sarah Palin is the embodiment of that...lets ROLL :)

The left has attacked the family unit from every direction imaginable. The results have been disastrous, in almost all areas of our lives.
Some pushhack is long overdue, and conservative women are most qualified to lead on this issue. I'd like to see them come out and kick leftie butt up one side and down the other.

Dan -- Did you see this paragraph in the middle of an otherwise good article:
------------------------------------
"Conservatives who claim their party is devoid of racism still must concede that their movement opposed the majority of the 1960s civil rights agenda. And modern female conservative leaders must admit that the movement they serve once sought to keep them in the shadows."
------------------------------------
The GOP/Conservatives were against the civil rights movement?!? Since when?
And it's funny that we never see lines like "Obama supporters who claim he is about 'hope' and 'change' still must concede that his entire political career is full of associating and being mentored by racists, socialists, communists, Marxists, and America-hating terrorists."
Nope. For conservatives/GOP, every bad part of their history is brought up to smear their current movement. For liberals/"progressives"/Democrats, nothing in their history exists except for the good parts.
Pathetic.

Okay, upon reading all the way to the end, it's obvious this schmuck is an angry lefty:
-------------------------
But if the current political culture requires conservatives to leave the dirty work to women, haven’t they lost already? Women should seek political leadership, but if their promotion is simply a cover for timid men peddling a timid ideology, is that really progress — for the movement or the women?
Women need to be embraced as leaders — but not out of fear or necessity. It should happen the right way, or else the Right will merely be seen as a bunch of weak-willed reactionary little boys sending their women out to do their fighting for them.
------------------------
Imagine if a right-of-center blogger talked about women in the Democrat Party in this condescending manner. Again... pathetic.

ACK calls himself a Libertarian but that's just a ruse. He votes Democrat (Democrat Gov in 2006 and Harold Ford Jr for Senate 2006). Granted these are the only 2 votes I recall him publishing but then I don't read him all that often anymore. I see him as another liberal hack who tries to masquerade himself as a reporter for a another liberal rag. He doesn't do that much original reporting as a paid professional blogger, mostly linky links.
