Obama is the potus of campaign talking points. He claims things are getting better and the GOP shouldn't try to frighten America. Things are getting better for whom and for what, exactly? They certainly haven't improved for freedom loving capitalists under Obama's tenure in office.
President Barack Obama told House Republican leaders to "stop trying to frighten the American people" even as he and Democrats said they see a possibility for bipartisan cooperation on job creation legislation.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) told reporters that Obama made the admonition during a bipartisan meeting at the White House on Wednesday, producing a chart to show Republicans that "things are a lot better."
The EPA is set to strong arm the private sector in whatever way some back office bureaucrat decides appropriate. Obama has displayed himself to be someone with either no understanding, or concern, for history and protocol as he's bounced around the world apologizing for America to no good effect.
The government is poised to take over health care against the will of the people. We are so far in debt as a nation there is absolutely no way to predict how, or if we'll ever be able to dig out. Taxes are going to have to rise, as Washington has shown no real desire to curb spending. The DOJ seems to be very selective about what cases it will and won't pursue.
Entitlements are not dealt with, most are heading for the cliff. And all Obama and the Democrats can think to do is add more that will need to be balanced upon the taxpaying backs of us and future generations.
Have I left anything out? I imagine I have, unfortunately. But Obama opts to admonish Republicans for "frightening" America.
You're frightening America, Obama. Not the Republicans. If they are doing anything, they are simply echoing the thoughts and feeling of the American public. Why not simply say you don't give a damn about them and don't want to hear them as you go on your merry way working whatever disastrous agenda for America you dreamed up in your classroom over the years, instead of preparing yourself to become a worthy leader of the free world.
At least then the American people might begin to think you're at least a little bit honest for a change.

"Have I left anything out?"
Yep, Moody's announced yesterday that they are poised to downgrade the rating on bonds issued by the United States, due to out of control spending and soaring deficits. If that doesn't scare you, then you're a complete fool.

Truly laughable. Where's the "takeover" of health care? Are you really worried your private insurance, assuming you have any, is going to be stripped from you somehow? How exactly do you see that going down?
What is the "history and protocol" of the EPA fulfilling it's function within the Executive Branch? I believe that protocol would be to monitor the environment and set regulatory guidelines accordingly.
Lemme see if I have this straight: Any Democratic attempt to impose government regulation is a "scary" takeover, the State imposing it's will on the weary and downtrodden. Yet when Republicans argue that the State should do everything it can to limit access to abortion, for instance, up to and including outlawing it, that is viewed as "moral" and in no way an infringement on the rights of the individual.
If the Republicans are "echoing" the thoughts and feelings of America, why did America elect the President by a gigantic margin? Why couldn't John McCain fill stadiums, instead having to hawk his wife as Miss Buffalo Chip in order to manufacture photos of large crowds turning out for him (they were there for the beer and strippers, btw). If you want to find from where the echoes emanate, you might consider that it is this blog's raison d'etre to amplify them. There's a lot of science out there that demonstrates what is popular in America. 70% of Americans want reform, and logging on to your blog and writing that black is white and day is night will not have the slightest impact on the flow of those opinions.
However if you're really frightened, and you are a person of faith, I would only point out that you have stumbled into one of the reasons the Creator in his divine wisdom furnished us with two thumbs, one to put up your ass and the other to suck on until the mean scary men go away.

The Republicans are scary when the enable the Democrats. Team Obama keeps me awake at night. We have 3 more years of this? God give me strength.

Thanks for sharing your insanity with the rest of us. It's....breathtaking.
Oh, and I'm sure in the alternative universe you inhabit Auschwitz was merely a "weekend holiday camp."

But, but ... Obama has a chart! Dagnabbit! There's a chart! Harry Reid says Obama showed it to those recalcitrant Republicans!
Damn it! There's a chart!
That's all the proof an Obamamaniac needs. :D

"The White House has canceled many of the events peace prize laureates traditionally submit to, including a dinner with the Norwegian Nobel committee, a press conference, a television interview, appearances at a children's event promoting peace and a music concert, as well as a visit to an exhibition in his honour at the Nobel peace centre...
He has also turned down a lunch invitation from the King of Norway...
According to a poll published by the daily tabloid VG, 44% of Norwegians believe it was rude of Obama to cancel his scheduled lunch with King Harald..."
Ah...the moron in chief can't even get his bogus Nobel Prize acceptance correctly.

The only one scaring anyone is Xerxes and his puppet master George Soros!
It is clearly their goal to destroy the American free market economy and collapse the dollar in an effort to create millions of weak, complacent sheep to worship the god king!!
I say the current POTUS is POS bastard and a complete waste of his communist father's sperm!!
The living example of the need for Birth control for unwed mothers!!
Had to say that before his thought police shut down the abilty to speak freely in this country!!
I am sick of these scumbags imposing their socialist agenda unchecked!! These losers and their Astroturfing asshats like the guy above still don't get it! They are on their way out starting in 11 short months!!!
ummmm!!! ummmm!!! ummmm!!!

trucknut~ please tell us, what percent of the US populace is able to vote?
Then tell us, what percent of that number actually voted.
Then tell us, what percent of those who voted, voted for obama.
Then tell us how that is, in any way, a 'gigantic margin.'

Yes, you left something out: you listed the conditions, but not he causes for our dangerous mess we are in. We have a nation of absolute irresponsible people. Large portions of the population, the Congress, the President. Every problem you list can be traced back to irresponsible behavior.

"Truly laughable. Where's the "takeover" of health care? Are you really worried your private insurance, assuming you have any, is going to be stripped from you somehow? How exactly do you see that going down?"
IF you're truly intelligent, then you know that the pending NHC legislation does three things (which they in fact do): (1) est. community rating (everyone pays the same premium); (2) no lifetime caps on payouts (potentially unlimited reimbursements; and (3) carriers prohibited from dropping you for any reason (save non-payment of premium). IF these aspects of NHC are enacted, private insurance premiums will explode overnight in an attempt to absorb the cost of the regs. And guess where most Americans get their health coverage? That's right, from their employers; who by the way are required by law in most states to pay for at least 50% of the cost of the primary insured's coverage. So not only does the cost go up for the individual, it also goes up for the employer, which, as a discretionary cost will be on the chopping block ASAP since an 8% "fine" to the feds for offering no coverage will be less than the cost of coverage. Now, where on earth will all of these newly uninsured folks go to find coverage: can't buy an individual policy b/c it's too expensive (see above); well, see that shining pot-o-gold over there? Why, it's the public option, whereby the Feds will "give" you coverage because those evil carriers are crooks and thieves blinded by their own greed. Repeat and rinse for 5-10 years and you have a defacto single payer system, the very system that Obama professes to be against. That's how Obamacare works to take over healthcare.

Liberals always want things to be the way that makes sense to them. There's always this inconvenient truth called "reality" that rears it's ugly head.
Posted by: Greg Smallwood | Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 09:28 AM
Many of these Dems think that this single payer system will make them politically invulnerable. They think that they will be able to use the single payer system to make all of us nasty conservatives bend to their will. Well when it fails we will be able to do two things first we will be put back in power and then secondly use it to harras them. Imagine that we start to use the single payer system to penalize gay people for their life style by showing how dangerous it is, or single motherhood, or ... well you get the point. After a year or two of this we present the libs with the choice of either repealing it or us really taking to them.

be at the polls in 2010 and vote out the democrats and rinos and be ever deligent for voter fraud. we have to beat this democratic mafia machine or we are toast.
remember obama is half white and half muslim, not half american black. either he and his ilk are imcompetent or they have a plan to destroy the USA. i believe it is the latter.
also, i'm sick to death discussing abortion, homosexuals, lesbians, and teenage sex. take these social issues out of the political arena. parents teach your children the way you want them to behave and stop using the schools, government as parents.

Bigger threats on the horizon:
Islam remains the enemy, and our POTUS is is foremost soldier of Allah's jihad. Of course, they and the internationalist elites will throw themselves prostate to receive the Mark of the Beast, who is the coming Caliph and Imam of the One World Islamic State.
And that guy (probably not Obama) will be a real doozie - the Mahdi himself - the Antichrist... and his False Prophet, "Muslim Jesus".

This is not a truly intelligent analysis. You are making a whole host of assumptions without any corroboration whatsoever. My rebuttal will be short and sweet: If the only way the private insurance industry can fend off a "government takeover" is to continue to generate profit by denying medical care to their customers, then they aren't operating in good faith and ought to be shut down. You are suggesting that government regulation to end predatory practices on the part of insurance companies would somehow be a bad thing. Because the resultant illegal price gouging would drive customers to the government plan. At what point are you willing to accept that the behavior of insurance companies has led to the mess, and that sooner or later something was going to have to be done about it?

OBAMA AVOIDS BIBLE VERSES !
Here are some Bible verses that Pres. Obama avoids:
Proverbs 19:10 (NIV): "It is not fitting for a fool to live in luxury - how much worse for a slave to rule over princes!"
Also Proverbs 30:22 (NIV) which says that the earth cannot bear up under "a servant who becomes king."
And Ecclesiastes 5:2-3 (KJV) advises: "let thy words be few...a fool's voice is known by multitude of words."
Although Obama is not descended from slaves, he may feel that he's destined to become a black-slavery avenger.
Or maybe an enslaver of all free citizens!
