The video clip below is being touted by the liberal media and the Left as evidence that Sarah Palin was punked by an apparently not very funny Canadian comedienne. I ignored the item until seeing a Mediaite headline claiming Sarah Palin wasn't punked at all.
They're correct. If anyone looks like a fool, it's the Canadian, along with any media outlets picking it up. Watch the video for yourself. All the woman did was ask Palin what would be a valid question under any circumstances before being removed from a book signing event. She later tried to ambush Palin as the former Governor was leaving.
Um, so? What, is Palin supposed to know who every hack comic in Canada actually is? I couldn't even name any good ones, assuming they have ones that haven't come to America to have a real career.
For her part, Palin gives her precisely the answer one would expect. If Canada had any sense, they'd back away from their failing public health care and allow the private sector to drive down costs and increase quality through competition. Just because, like water, socialists strive to seek the lowest possible level on anything to accommodate people with an inferior offering doesn't mean it makes sense. Palin is spot on. And she showed herself to be a woman of the people by even bothering to answer the idiot's valid question.
Take a look and see what you think.

Go Sarah Go!

Dan,
Trying to understand liberal humor will cause insanity. With most liberals if you say the word conservative they start laughing or throwing a hissy fit. Why? I have no idea; however, I think it has something to do with their belief that they are the smartest people in the room. Maybe, they know deep down inside they are not and cover for that fact by strong emtional response. IDK.

I remember This Hour Has 22 Minutes from when I was a young 'un growing in the Great White North. It's a comedy show, kind of imagine the Daily Show, without the serious part. It's a CBC product so it's far left.
I don't get the joke though. The 'Cuda's security doesn't let a psychotic looking woman with a microphone run at her, and suddenly she's not a people's person? That the Lord that I got out of Canada, because my views are completely different than 90% of Canadians. I believe in respecting public officials when I am in their country, but tragically this decorum does not extend north of the border... and before Bob finds 48 surveys telling me why Canada is better than America, I can tell you, without a doubt, that there are many Canadians, I would say about half, that have nothing but ill-will and spite for all but the most Liberal of Americans.
I'm sure Bob will see the post, so what's your blog's address Bob?

I watched the clip twice. I kept trying to figure out how this scenario was supposed to be funny or score leftist points against Palin. Marg Delahunty beclowns herself in front of a camera for a few minutes, then complains how "Going Rogue" is full of lies as soon as Sarah Palin can't hear her say it.
Where is the gotcha moment when Delahunty scores an epic pwnage against Palin? I mean, this is supposed to be a humorous political hit-job right? The only person who gets nailed here is the comedian for not being funny.
The Canucks must have a different definition of 'humor' then America. Or the rest of the world, for that matter.

I swear I saw a report on Fox's news portion (not commentary) that said Canadians were considering moving from an all public plan.

"We came all the way up from Canada", so we deserve to cut ahead of all the Americans standing in line.
That outfit of hers - makes her look like Michael Moore's mother. I bet he will "get wood" when he sees this. Damn that Oedipus complex!

Was the Canuck loser on meth or crack is the only relevant question? Her eyes are about the size of saucers. I think it goes back to what some surmised during the election. The average ugly Butch feminazi hates Palin because she is attractive and they aren't. Go back to Canuckistan you ugly cow.

The best US tourists are Canadians seeking medical care! Thanks CBC for spotlighting this woman needs medical attention for her funny bone now and can no longer wait to win the local doctor lottery.

I am an independent voter and I was watching the video about this punk issue about Palin and I see no valid reason as negative points against Sarah Plain as what the biased left media is claiming about. I would advise Huffington post to write more sensible topics other than this if they wanted better attention and better consumers. HEY ALL YOU JOURNALISTS FROM HUFFINGTON POST: STOP BEING STUPID AND IDIOTS!! Why don't comment on someting like why the white house state dinner party has two gate crasher attendees??? Now, this is a real funny because your Idol BHO was a real manchurian president!! Hugo Chaves was more qualified to be POTUS than Barack Hussein Obama who better be governing Kenya than USA.

Can't say that I am up on what Huffington Post posts, but I do think the "the punk of the year" award goes to the couple who crashed that State Dinner. And that picture of them posing with Joe Biden is priceless! I know somewhere else it was noted that these dignitaries strike poses all the time for photos, but for some reason, having Joe Biden in the picture so captures the essence of what Joe Biden is about and the amateurishness of the current administration. This is a much better example of "punkery" than someone skipping to the front of a line at a book signing in a mall that is open to the public. I mean, this couple showed a lot more initiative! Please, everyone, vote for Michael & Tareq Salahi for "Punk of the Year"!

Please update your post with the most glaring irony of this whole incident: Mary Walsh's entire living as a "comedian" has been funded by the Canadian taxpayer. This show has extremely low ratings, but continues due it being on our state broadcaster and somehow vital to our national "identity" (which is supposedly always at risk from your nasty Americans). The funniest part of it all is how clueless these leftists are to Canadians who want health care choice.
Go Sarah! She has proven herself extremely knowledgable on Canadian issues whenever I have heard her speak to it - particular in regards to fish farming on the Pacific Coast.

Ooohhh a fellow Canadian Conservative. It's nice to see Elizabeth, and nice to know that someone might be able to relate when I speak of the absurd amount of hatred that many Canadians have for Americans... It makes no sense to me, that why I became an American!
Posted by: Canerican | Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 04:26 PM
Elizabeth, NDP morons in the pay of other NDP morons funded by the Canadian taxpayer. Of course suggesting that Mary Walsh actually try to understand the other side is like showing a watch to a hog.
Canamerican, those Canadians who "hate" Americ reside in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal or are acolytes of the cultural elite of those cities. Of course, the America they hate is a complete caricature of this giant country. Folks in Canada that build or make things other than second rate movies, novels and television don't hate America. Hard to hate your best paying customer.
