It appears to be another Palin book signing dominated by female fans. Most striking of all may be how similar this quote is to one we heard at an event across the country days ago.
“I’m outside of my normal comfort zone. This is something I’ve never done before,” said Harrell, who called Palin a “normal American person.”
No matter how much the Left continues to attack her, there's no disputing her ability to engage people without a history of becoming so involved with a political figure. A year ago no one could have predicted that Obama's star would be in such decline and Sarah Palin would re-emergeas the single most popular political figure of the day. If the trend continues through 2010, there's no telling how much power and influence she'll wield in the mid-term elections. And this type of energy in a mid-term could easily prove to be a determinant figure in many a race.
“There is just something about Sarah Palin. It’s hard to put your finger on it, but the politicians are afraid of her,” she added.
They plan to wait through what’s expected to be another freezing night for a guaranteed chance at meeting a woman they describe as refreshing, honest, no-nonsense and a true American.

Palin and New Moon seem to have alot in common.

I have to say I think you are wrong. Alot of people saw this coming. The DNC and GOp elites tried to destroy the woman in AK attacking her at every oppurtunity. trying to force her into bankruptcy. There were many people that knew Palin was a major force if she ever got off the leash. As far as Obama many conservatives knew his presidentacy would be a massive failure esp with the liberal control of Congress not keeping any checks and balances on his more insanve ideas like cap and tax and healthcare.

The base of the tea party movement will not be alienated by having Sarah as a speaker. The base of the tea party movement understands that both parties are not listening to the people.
The convention is an event to strengthen the movement by bringing delegates together from the local tea parties across the nation. This actually gives the most representation to the tea party movement- and widely accepted as a needed step.
Tea party groups that are serious in getting us to the next level will fund raise to get their best to the event and by being there will help ensure its success.
The information posted says it is preliminary and the verdict here is premature. Some of the criticisms in this article are valid on the surface yet do not really look at the big picture, nor honestly look at what it takes to host an event of this magnitude. If it were a deep pocket funded event it would be criticized for big money being behind it. However what do you expect from a grassroot effort to do this?
Just who is going to stop the lefts radical agenda if not the folks in the tea party movement?
This step should be applauded , supported and promoted by those that wish to take the movement to the next step.
The people that are the most active and are actually leading in this effort understand what needs to be done in this struggle to fight against an overreaching left that will make us all wards of the government if we let them.
