Very short video, also below, with report here. Listen closely to the first bit. As embattled Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon, Democrat, begins her trial for pressuring Real Estate developers to pony up so she could go shopping, she tells the media she wants respect and doesn't want them to control her trial. What a fine liberal public servant this one looks to be. Given that it's Baltimore don't be surprised if she walks.
"Ian if you don't get these cameras away..." Dixon said to Brennan.
"I am not going to allow the media to control this trial, and I mean it. You better respect me, and I'm not going to answer any questions. I don't expect these cameras in front of me. The trial starts tomorrow. It will go through its process. I don't appreciate this."
The mayor then picked up some files out of her city SUV, and walked into City Hall surrounded by her police body guards and her aides.
Dixon's comments to reporters came after she attended a Veterans Day ceremony at Baltimore's War Memorial, and then joined veterans in laying a wreath at War Memorial Plaza. She made her comments after a reporter attempted to ask her a question.
In the days leading up to her trial, Dixon has had a number of public appearances. She had another one last night.

She is hoping for an "OJ JURY"

I live in Maryland - and this is the first I have heard of this. Nothing on the news, nothing in the paper - though perhaps the Baltimore Sun has carried something.......

How useless is the midstream media? They walk off without a freaking word, heads hanging like whipped puppies. If she would have been Sarah Palin they would have hounded her into the backseat.
