Earlier reports of politically motivated murders in the Philippines put the death toll at 21. With the discovery of three mass graves, the number has been climbing as more bodies have been discovered. The count now rests at 57.

Apparently anticipating an attack and hoping to thwart it, Mangudadatu (the politician running for the governorship of a province) had the convoy composed mostly of women, including his wife and sister. I get Foreign Policy mag. morning briefs in email and the link to the NYT piece is here. Sure looks like Islamofascism at work to me. I see no outrage on Algore's internet...
