And to think, it's Europe that's been so quick to charge America with over-reacting to terrorism. Our Constitution would actually prohibit this sort of thing from ever being considered lawful. If Europe were to ever experience a 9/11, or worse, I suspect a very ugly face of Europe buried in its history would quickly emerge.
A proposal championed by right-wing parties to ban minarets in Switzerland goes to a nationwide vote on Sunday in a referendum that has set off an emotional debate about national identity and stirred fears of boycotts and violent reactions from Muslim countries.
Business leaders say a minaret ban would be disastrous for the Swiss economy because it could drive away wealthy Muslims who bank in Switzerland, buy the country's luxury goods, and frequent its resorts.
The vote taps into anxieties about Muslims that have been rippling through Europe in recent years, ranging from French fears of women in body veils to Dutch alarm over the murder by a Muslim fanatic of a filmmaker who made a documentary that criticized Islam.
Polls indicate growing support for the proposal submitted by the anti-immigrant Swiss People's Party, but it was doubtful it will gain enough momentum to pass. Muslims in Switzerland have kept a low profile, refraining from a counter-campaign.

The Swiss ... who f*ckin cares? (said the Jew with gold teeth).
The good news? There ain't any.
The bad news? Ya better sit down .....

I hope the Swiss vote in favor of banning the minarets because the minarets are a political symbol of domination, just like the hammer and sickle and the swastika. The day will come in America when we will have to amend our Constitution to reject Islam not because it is a political ideology patchful of pagan ideas, but because Islam is essentially intolerant of believers who don't buy into its ideology. The express purpose of Islam is political domination and it does not eschew genocide to achieve that end. That is why we will eventually amend our Constitution to ensure that Islam has no place on our shores.

I think banning minarets is a good idea for Switzerland. They choose to retain their national identity. Minarets symbolize domination by Islam. They are a lot worse than the Confederate flag.

" in a referendum that has set off an emotional debate about national identity and stirred fears of boycotts and violent reactions from Muslim countries."
What other kind of reaction do they ever have?

"The cities of Basel, Lausanne and Fribourg banned the billboards, saying they painted a "racist, disrespectful and dangerous image" of Islam. "
Notice they didn't say "inaccurate".

There is no hope left for Yurrup. Now, countless hamastans/islambergs/muzzy bantustans/no go zones. Across its width and breadth. Where individual infidels dare not wander ... let alone uniform, armed police.
Thers is nothing left to buttress. Nothing left to save. Duh Swees? Always been best at buttering their toast ... on both sides. Weighing the cold hard reality, of the approaching insect horde ... or babysitting their petro-dollars.
I haven't clue one how we'll stop the march of the bugs across America. But having seen the look. Having the muzzy hatred (more than) proudly bare down on me. In the light of day. In public. I know, truly, what is in the hearts of these cockroaches.
When the mooselimb sh*t hits the fan. I'll not surrender one f*cking inch. One fu*cking millimeter. I'll die where I stand. On my feet.
However many sleeper cells are currently in hibernation, here in the homeleand? Half a dozen? A dozen? More? How much reconnoitering is currently underway? How large the index, of targets of opportunity?
A hard rain is gunna fall. On which day? How soon? There will be blood. As night follows day. Mad Mo's Marionettes have only just begun ....
