Okay, she didn't put it quite that way. But would anyone disagree about Katie? ha!
(AP) The rumors are true, according to Sarah Palin: The McCain-Palin campaign was not a happy family.
In Palin's "Going Rogue," Palin confirms reports of tension between her aides and those of the 2008 Republican presidential candidate, Sen. John McCain. The vice presidential candidate confirms that she had wanted to speak on election night, but was denied the chance and says she was kept "bottled up" from reporters during the campaign.
Palin also writes harshly of CBS anchor Katie Couric, whom she describes as "badgering" and biased. Palin's series of interviews with Couric were widely regarded as disastrous, leaving the impression of an ill-informed candidate who was unsuited for the job.

Hah! I was left with the distinct impression of an ill-informed interviewer unsuited for the job.
(I was also left with the distinct impression that McCain's machine were treating him like Bob Dole. There was zero gusto or enthusiasm. The GOP's teams here in Ohio were disorganized and unready, and that is to be as positive and forgiving as I can be.)
If Palin continues to go rogue - by cutting straight to the Base - perhaps Couric won't even matter?

After Palin's convention speech, it was clear she would outshine McCain so McCain's staff did their best to bottle her up.

I always think of Couric as a little mouse.

Speaking of Sarah Palin

GOUVERNEUR, NY - Despite the fact that Bill Owens has already been sworn-in and has voted on crucial legislation in the House of Representatives, he may not have actually won the NY-23 Congressional Special Election.
Several errors were made during the initial vote counts. Over 2,000 votes for contender Doug Hoffman were not counted in the preliminary results, narrowing the current vote gap to less than 3,000 votes between Democrat Bill Owens and Conservative Doug Hoffman.

It is funny you mention Couric as a mose b/c I thought the same of an ill-informed candidate who was unsuited for the job.
If it looks like a mouse, smells like a mouse, by golly it is a mouse.
Couric sucks and Palin was and is a political disastor. She may be a nice lady but this was not good.

A Corzine voter, I see, I think we've proven who's unsuitable to running a hot dog stand, by the misunderstanding of law, ethics, history, economics, etc

Is the kool-aid really potent enough that folks here can blame Couric for Palin's performance in that interview??
Wow.
But then again, I think you all know the kinds of questions a real journalist/network would have asked...right?
HANNITY: Let me ask you this. Senator Obama had talked about people in Pennsylvania, while he was in San Francisco, as being bitter Americans, clinging to guns and clinging to religion.
Do you think that was a putdown of middle class people in the country?
HANNITY: How you dealing with some of the harsh attacks against you? Let me give you a couple of examples.
HANNITY: You obviously have a lot of passion. What motivates you? For example, what made you want to get into the political world? What made you so willing to accept this job and not blink? Where does your motivation come from?
HANNITY: Explain when you were governor and, as governor of Alaska, how you took on your own party.
HANNITY: You...you complete me.

So, the 2cents complaint is that the type of questions non-journalist Sean Hannity asks closely resemble the tongue-baths that "real" journalists put to The One.
Figgers. Of course, there was no point asking The One anything about real job experience, was there?
Cordially...

Rick,
I would have loved to see a proper interview done with Xerxes. It could go something like this.
SacTownMan: Can you explain why you allowed your own children to attend a racist church?
SacTownMan: What real world work experience do you have, Have you ever paid a payroll?
SacTownMan: While in the Illinois Senate you voted "Present" more than 100 times, Why?
SacTownMan: You have refused to release any information concerning your college transcripts, Why?
SacTownMan: There have been questions concerning your birthplace, Why haven't you made those documents available?
SacTownMan: Do you get a tear in your eye when hearing the National Antheim sung?
SacTownMan: You have mentioned that you have used cocaine, How long? Did you snort, smoke or fix the drug when using it?
SacTownMan: Why have you associated yourself with so many Communists and Socialists?
SacTownMan: What is your relationship with George Soros? How long have you known him?
SacTownMan: You have refered to those Americans participating in the Tea Party protests as "Teabaggers". Why would you as President of the United States use a term that is associated with homosexual overtones and involves the licking and sucking of someones testicles?
SacTownMan: Why do you hate America?
NonSense worships a POS that hates his country, nuf said!!

The irony of Sac taking issue with someone using offensive terms...
Hopefully he means it when he says 'nuf said'.

Couric looks and behaves like Chucky. Her ratings prove how qualified she is for the job.
McCain staffers proved how good they are by the way they ran the campaign .
