This one was too easy. Whether it's short memories, or ideological divide, the Right mostly gave Bush a pass for the very same thing over which we are now bashing Obama - and it seems Glenn Reynolds. heh! For myself, I can recall defending Bush as no POTUS wants a full-fledged war between Christianity and Islam. That doesn't mean the behavior doesn't tick me off. But I gave Bush slack because I liked him.
h/t Instapundit, Don Surber thinks Glenn Reynolds, along with Obama, are Dukakis-like due to their muted rhetoric and failure to speak of jihad in the wake of the Fort Hood attack. This is Bush in December 2001 and it's totally indicative of the rhetoric he used throughout his presidency when discussing terrorism.
Right after the attacks I went to a mosque to send a signal that the war against terror has nothing to do with the Muslim faith. It has everything to do with evil, evil people. What you can do to help America beyond the economy is to remind people that regardless of our religious beliefs, we're all, first and foremost, Americans. That this is a country...
Do people really not remember the same frustration with Bush on this? lol Okay, enough with the honest broker crap. I'm a political guy, so anything that weakens Obama floats my boat. What a weak-kneed piece of political detritis we now have in the WH, blah, blah, blah.... I'm down for it. However, that doesn't mean I don't realize the truth of it. ; ) I'm just not in the mood to be generous, especially in the wake of the House passing that killer of a health care bill last night. So, flail away, wingers. I got your back!

Ya mean like uh ... Pharoah slippin, slippin and fallin in the shower. And crackin his head open? Like that?
But even if we were somehow so fortunate, I hear mebbe we won't get off quite so easy, so fast.

Welcome to EuroAmerica. No matter what happens, we are headed straight for a European Socialist state, where leftist lawyers, "community organizers" and other loonies run things. For our betterment. Oh, there will be a struggle in the Senate, but in the end the result will be the same -- just watered down some...for now. Most likely the only thing left is a complete house cleaning in Washington. The sooner the better.

I understand the problem goes back to 1993 after the first WTC bombing; the Saudis pushed the State Department into agreeing that US Government could not use the terms 'Islam' and 'terrorism' together. Recall that sometime after the 2004 elections Bush did use Islamic Fascism in a speech once but was quickly squashed never to be used again.
The fact is the US Department of State is not on the side of the United States of America; remember the foreign dipshits in the State Dept cannot be fired.
Further, recall the State Dept made sure Bolton was never going to get a chance to reform their corrupt dipshits.
PS: Recall that Reagan put in 'evil empire' despite diplo dipshits at the State Dept crossing that line out of the speech.
I imagine most every dipshit diplo is a lawyer of some sort.

Yes, Dan, you're just a hack. It's obvious that you have no consistent principles. But I appreciate that you recognize that fact yourself.

Had Bush called it the War Against Global Jihad, we would be far better off now. Political correctness is killing our troops.
