....Dufus in 1600 lost bigger than huge.
Time, as it marches on, will destroy this affirmative action jerk off and the (czzzzzzzzar douchebags) minions he has collected.
I want to see writers, of historical note , compare 2007-to now with the run up of THE FIRST CIVIL WAR.
Numero two, or DOS, for you idiots in Rio Linda, are about to experience hammer and ANVIL.
Enjoy.

Hilarious. Corzine and Deeds were terrible Dem candidates who ran away from Obama's policies. The exit polling indicates that the issues were local and had nothing to do with Obama. The Dem base didn't come out for grossly unpopular candidates who ran away from policies the Dem base supports.

"Obama Care" lost? Idiot. Obama picked up 2 more votes in the House - one of which from a district that hadn't voted Dem in over 100 years. Why? Because you morans ran out the GOPer who would have won, in favor of a Teabagger endorsed by the lunatic fringe, i.e. Failin' Palin. Oh, and "Obama Care" is marching right along in the House: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091104/ap_on_bi_ge/us_health_care_overhaul. Next up, other GOPers somewhere to the left of Newt Gingrich, who I've learned is no longer pure enough. Welcome to the ever-shrinking GOP base. You can't win national elections. You can't even hold seats in districts in which you had never lost before! And what is REALLY funny is that you don't get why. When "Obama Care" passes, when cap and trade passes, when unemployment improves, and when Obama introduces comprehensive immigration reform - all in time for 2010, you'll scream about ACORN and the scary negroes; you'll scream about Dem bottles slashing Teabagger tires; you'll scream about gays and abortion and dirty foreigners; and you'll scream about faked birth certificates and Rev. Wright. You'll be claiming victory all because you forced out Charlie Crist, and got another Dem elected to the senate. You'll go after Olympia Snowe, maybe get her tossed out in a primary. Hello, another Dem. Senator.

You have no ideas and no candidates who can win, and no means of addressing your mounting national demographic problem. That you are too stupid to breath is not surprising. That you are too stupid to breath because you are choking yourselves is comedy gold. You're eating yourselves and telling each other how awesome it tastes.

You're being led by Rush Limbaugh whom you believe to be a political creature with any interest whatsoever in anything other than his paycheck. THIS is your leader.

"Conservatism" is dead in this country. Your Teabagging has ensured such. :)

What's up with this????????????

FULTON COUNTY: NO VOTES COUNTED. (22 districts plus absentee ballots will not be counted until later.

http://www.9wsyr.com/news/local/story/Fulton-County-machines-break-court-order-issued/dSY52Bssm0iYlGz06S7Chg.cspx

"As I already pointed out, CNN and most other media is saying this was nothing about Obama. Fortunately, big media is increasingly talking only to itself, or the faithful, so don't let it get you down. This election was all about Obama, as far as I'm concerned."

And even though voters who were polled said THEMSELVES that it was not about Obama, that Obama still remains relatively popular among the independents who voted Republican, then it's STILL all about Obama, according to Dan. That makes a lot of sense in evil-liberal-media-conspiracy-world, I'm sure. By similar reasoning, couldn't one also conclude that NY-23 was all about Palin, and that the voters dealt a crushing blow to teabaggery?

Unpossible. I heard lazy mexicians and unscrupulous ACORN agents were going to steal the election in New Jersey. And that Hoffmeister was going to trounce the too-liberal rival in NY-23. And don't get me started on CA-10, what a Republican landslide that was.

Tell ya what. Teabag Crist in Florida. And maybe make John Cornyn's life a hellscape in Texas. Run a few more Hoffmans across the US and maybe then we'll call this a GOP win. Until then, you're stuck with a pair of moderate GOoPer Governors (I give it three months before they're both declared RINOs) and a pair of House Rep defeats - one in a 150 year GOP safe haven.

I'm not sure how you're going to take back the House or the Senate like this, but I'll love to see you try.

The problem is Dan they STILL don't get it!!

They have every intention of passing their Soros led "One world order" agenda down our throats!!

The one thing that you can depend on the trolls doing every time the American people give them power is to screw it up!!

They have completely ignored the Teaparty protests as a fringe group of white boy terrorists!!

They will simply continue to jam legislation that does nothing to address the concerns of actual AMERICANS!

These piss ants could care less about anything other that their ideological mantra of big government, socialism and anti-business, anti-capitalism!!

They intend to throw the Blue Dogs under the bus with everyone else!! As long as they obey "the ONE" everything is great, cross him and his puppet masters and you get added to the "list".

Feeling "hopey, changey" yet?

One and out for the Bozzo-in-chief!! Yesterday shows that the American people can be fooled once but next time George Bush won't be around to be blamed for all of the worlds ills!!

Countdown to the trolls crawling back under their rocks is now less than one year!!

This is gonna be fun!!!!

"Obama still remains relatively popular among the independents who voted Republican"

wheee...now if every congressman who is up for reelection can appoint obama to their ticket, they have nothing to lose?

it's like pointing out how popular mccain was, by the number of voters who chose obama, but still had a + approval of mccain.

nj election hx-
05-1.225 million dem, .985 million gop.
06-senate 1.201 million dem, .998 million gop.
09-1.114 million gop, 1.041 dem.

dems lose 14%, gop gains 12%.

va-the key here is that the two opponents ran against each other to a tie in 2005. The same gop guy wins by 18%, 4 years later?
2005-governor- dems 1.026 mil, gop .912 million.
2006-senate-dems 1.176 mil, gop 1.116 mil.
2009-governor-gop 1.143 mil, dem .800 mil.

gop +13%, dems -21%.

ny 23?
not sure how to put the independent in there...

in 2006 the dem loser got 62,318, owens gets 61,666.
dems -1%.

worth pointing out that turnout in 06 was 169k.
this one won't clear 120k. Some might offer that it was a result of national intervention by conservatives that dropped conservative turnout, but the opposite side of the coin also holds true...

national involvement by conservatives offerred nothing in regards to increasing 'dem turnout'. The theme that dems would like to take, owens beat hannity, palin, limbuagh etc only rings true if the dems could mobilize an increase in actual voters.

there still is the big picture...
this is a district that obama won in 08. the problem that the gop has had in the district are evident. they had already lost 40k voters, in previous elections, before obama. at best, nothing can be claimed by either opponent, with the exception of the fact that the gop couldn't offer a conservative on the ticket, and got blasted, again.

Poor puppets.

I'm sure IslamoLlama and Bob are frantically waiting at their fax machines to receive the latest list of talking points from Obama, especially given the fact that the lies of the Obamamessiah are unraveling even faster in the light of this electoral debacle.

Today's latest classic:

"President Barack Obama's economic recovery program saved 935 jobs at the Southwest Georgia Community Action Council, an impressive success story for the stimulus plan. Trouble is, only 508 people work there.

The Georgia nonprofit's inflated job count is among persisting errors in the government's latest effort to measure the effect of the $787 billion stimulus plan despite White House promises last week that the new data would undergo an "extensive review" to root out errors discovered in an earlier report.

About two-thirds of the 14,506 jobs claimed to be saved under one federal office, the Administration for Children and Families at Health and Human Services, actually weren't saved at all, according to a review of the latest data by The Associated Press. Instead, that figure includes more than 9,300 existing employees in hundreds of local agencies who received pay raises and benefits and whose jobs weren't saved."

But it gets better. Listen to what Barack Obama is babbling now.

"But officials defended the practice of counting raises as saved jobs.

"If I give you a raise, it is going to save a portion of your job," HHS spokesman Luis Rosero said."

Good take.

Dear Liar.um.Leader is both radical and schtoopid, and abysmally so. The PBS watching, NPR listening, salt-of-the-earth may never quite admit the former, but as the depression becomes admissable his thorough, indecisive, inert incompetence is a given. Polite company will not broach that subject, but everyone is aware that his only talent, BS, is negative without an affirmative-action silver-lining.

NY-23 will be touted by GOP insiders as a call to sanity, a lesson on Pyrrhic futility but it is all on the NRCC. Hoffman was never a local fave, Maroun(sp.?) and Dohenty were. The most liberal candidate ditched when her support abandoned her DNFed. The 3:1 undecided cast to Owens for a temporary assignment is hardly a knock against offering a conservative choice.

It's a repudiation of being treated as though one is in the NRCC pocket.

North Dallas Thirty wonders, "I'm sure IslamoLlama and Bob are frantically waiting at their fax machines to receive the latest list of talking points from Obama..."

Fax machines? Really? This is yet another symptom of being out of touch. People who make real decisions today stopped using fax machines last century. Do try to keep up.

The GOP lost two House seats, and elected moderate governors (one of whom had to ignore his own 19th century thesis to get elected), and when they so much as sign ONE BILL not to the liking of my conservative friends, they will be declared RHINOs.

Our form of govt. requires compromise with an unwavering attention to the rule of law.

My conservative friends offered neither in 2009.

"it's like pointing out how popular mccain was, by the number of voters who chose obama, but still had a + approval of mccain."

Duh, no. McCain was running against Obama himself. In contrast, Obama himself was not on any of these ballots, despite the posturing of so many right wingers who'd like to pretend that he was. Thus, a vote against Corzine and for Christie was just that, and only that, and -- if the people who cast the votes themselves are to be believed -- apparently didn't have much at all to do with Obama himself. Unless of course wing nuts want to say otherwise, in which case it's beyond dispute that it was all about the "government takeover of healthcare" or some other BS like that.

"Obama himself was not on any of these ballots"

you are living in a bubble. the crux of any campaign is congressional agenda, which is set by the obama admin.

healthcare, taxes, economy...the postion of the congress critter doesn't find its point of origin from congrssional agendas, set largely by the wh?

I imagine the campaign spending was 10 to 1 in favor of owens v. hoffman. as for the gop-they were more stunned by how liberal a candiate they nominated, as evidenced by her dropping out when her record became clear.

hoffman wins the seat, AFTER the gop nominates him, and actually spends money on him, one year from now. The only way owens holds on is by voting against the obama agenda.

as a side note:

interesting that hoffman's wiki entry had his postions clearly stated, in a sub index. Owen's entry is a tabula rosa. Yes he wins, but in no way does he espouse any of the obama ideas, with the exception of card check.

"you are living in a bubble. the crux of any campaign is congressional agenda"

Says who? Why would a gubernatorial election be set by the congressional agenda?

i'm with you on nj, but you lose me on va.
the local governance was the issue for nj. it wasn't a good politics in vacuum condition.

the va result is a different animal.
these two squared off in 2005, to a draw. unlike nj, there wasn't a local issue, and the dem nominee lacked a terminal defect.

I sincerely doubt that the gop plans on winning nj anytime soon in regards to a presidential election.

however...
looking at the 'close states' of 08

Missouri 0.14%
North Carolina 0.32%
Indiana 1.04%
Nebraska's 2nd congressional district 1.19%
Montana 2.25%
Florida 2.82%
Ohio 4.59%

note virginia, while a purple state, doesn't even fit in the 'close category'.

Funny, the trolls haven't been around. But as soon as you bitch slap the one, here they come, right on que. I wonder how much they make?

Haha, it feels pretty good to be a conservative and a Republican today. Nice election wins, more proof of stimulus lies on the part of Obama, and sunny weather have me in the best of moods. Looks like 2010 will end this reign of terror on the part of Xerxes/Obama. The destruction of the Democratic Health Care Bill and cap and trade now looks more possible than it did yesterday. Yay!

And good day, STM and NDT!

EXPLAIN: If the most important man in the world (OBAMA) campaigns for candidates in an election and it means nothing when they both lose then why do the
reporters, pundits, etc. ask what this means about former Gov. Palin (private citizen) who endorsed but did not campaign for a candidate in a minor congressional election (one year term special election).....does this mean that that they think a private citizen has more power then a President? DUH

"Funny, the trolls haven't been around. But as soon as you bitch slap the one, here they come, right on que. I wonder how much they make?"

To chickenhawks like Dan, a "bitch slap" is hitting the "Enter" key on his mommy's computer to post some whining commentary about the "liberal conspiracy" in the mainstream media.

And what's with the "how much they make?" Are you now having paranoid fantasies that anyone in the liberal sphere cares enough about you to pay someone to post here? Like you're such a threat or something? I doubt that anyone on our side even takes you seriously. It's more out of a morbid sense of fascination that any of us come here to marvel at the spectacle of you and your followers wallowing in your paranoid grandiosity.

Isn't it about time for you to start sucking up to Mark Levin or Sarah Palin? That's when I actually start feeling a bit sorry for you . . .

"In contrast, Obama himself was not on any of these ballots, despite the posturing of so many right wingers who'd like to pretend that he was. Thus, a vote against Corzine and for Christie was just that, and only that"

Or so the latest spin from the Obama puppets is.

But as usual, the facts differ from what Obama has ordered them to repeat unthinkingly.

"President Obama is fighting for change, but he needs us to elect leaders like Creigh Deeds to help him."

"Keep It Going - Obama Corzine"

http://campaignspot.nationalreview.com/post/?q=NjgyMDgwYmFmYTQyODE5M2E5OTQ5ZDZiODAxMzI3ZmI=

This again demonstrates why Bob and IslamoLlama can't be taken seriously. They literally are not capable of honest discussion or intelligent debate; instead, they merely repeat the talking points they are fed by Barack Obama, no matter how out of whack these talking points are with reality.

This is really the end result of liberalism -- two presumably-adult individuals who have been so completely brainwashed that they are willing to make fools of themselves for an individual because of said individual's skin color.

"This again demonstrates why Bob and IslamoLlama can't be taken seriously. They literally are not capable of honest discussion or intelligent debate; instead, they merely repeat the talking points they are fed by Barack Obama, no matter how out of whack these talking points are with reality."

North Dallas Forty-Bucks-and-a-Bandaid is always so transparent when he starts projecting . . .

"To chickenhawks like Dan"...

using the dated bush lexicon of liberal discussion?

technically, obama is the chickenhawk, who has already increased troops in afghanistan by 40k. I missed the part where he served in the military.

seems to fit the classic "chickenhawk" defintion.

to be honest, if memory serves, dan hasn't been exactly jumping up and down about sending troops. in every sense of the word, obama is infinitely more a of a chickenhawk than dan.

Children still sing BHO's praises. Literally. Creepily. Sadly.

And Bob doubles down on Obama stupid.

"Says who? Why would a gubernatorial election be set by the congressional agenda?"

Again, why don't you ask Obama?

"President Obama is fighting for change, but he needs us to elect leaders like Creigh Deeds to help him."

"Keep It Going - Obama Corzine"

http://campaignspot.nationalreview.com/post/?q=NjgyMDgwYmFmYTQyODE5M2E5OTQ5ZDZiODAxMzI3ZmI=

Of course, Bob, being programmed only to repeat Obama talking points and incapable of any intelligent analysis or dialogue, is simply not able to recognize that fact.

Dan - why don't you just cut to the chase and start referring to Obama as 'Black Guy'?
Reading your post with that change helps articulate where you're at here.
And right, Obama is finished...that's what a few republican victories mean.
Might as well just close up shop here - your work is done, right?
Can't imagine why you're not doing more political consulting....your insight is beyond original.

"And the air came out of Obama's balloon faster than..."

...Balloon Boy's bubble when the deputy hit it with the shovel.

"Of course, Bob, being programmed only to repeat Obama talking points and incapable of any intelligent analysis or dialogue, is simply not able to recognize that fact."

Yeah, I mean, why would ANYONE base their opinion on what the voters THEMSELVES said when asked that specific question? Only a "tool" of the "liberal media," of course:

http://www.abcnews.go.com/Politics/Story?id=8984551&page=1

"Vast economic discontent marked the mood of Tuesday's off-year voters, portending potential trouble for incumbents generally and Democrats in particular in 2010. Still the gubernatorial elections in Virginia and New Jersey looked less like a referendum on Barack Obama than a reflection of their own candidates and issues."

Dallas,

Your point about the Xerxes parrots like Bob, Lame-O and PunkAssed Liberal are proved true time and again when they actually link stories from Daily Koz and other Pravda sites like ABC, MSNBC and the other braindead media.

They just keep drinking the Koolaid and talking about licking some guy's balls!!

Man these dumb asses are just stuck on stupid!

Way to play the race card there Non-sense!!!

Very original!!!

And did I mention he's black?

http://www.breitbart.tv/?p=117053

This from the guy who spent 20 years learning first hand from an ACTUAL racist!!

You dipshits just can't fathom that your friggen god king is a lowlife Chicago thug that is destined to be the next Jimmy Carter!!

Put that in your crack pipe and smoke it!!

"Vast economic discontent marked the mood..."
when bush was in office, would you be so quick to disassociate the presidency and the economy?

I'll give you some consolation. I understand the wh message, which they can't actually utter:
"patience."

let's see...
be patient with their afghan policy, be patient with the unemployment, be patient with the growth of the country, the size of the debt, etc...

I'm willing to cut the wh some slack, and they might even prove me wrong about how successful their agenda really is...

sorry bob, most voters, especially mecurical swing voters, aren't very patient.

enjoy 2010.

"Obama himself was not on any of these ballots"

Which of course is why he produced ads like this one, right?

http://www2.nationalreview.com/dest/2009/10/28/528cb7aea2946ebc44fd7fff465b241c.jpg

Corzine made Obama is primary message, the main reason, judging by his ads that anyone should vote for him was because he was a Friend of Obama...to say that Corzine's loss was totally unrelated to OBama is flat out false.

It is also worth noting that Corzine lost because he said he would lower taxes and he raised them and he said he would bring some fiscal rationality to the state budget and he failed....which puts him in the 'tax and spend' Democratic camp...that would be the same camp as Obmaa.

Sac -
Dan deals the race card, so yes - gotta play it.
A more sober mind might have been able to make a good case that the results of this few races do in fact show a lightening of Obama's glow - something to be considered for sure.
But the giddy high-faving going on here ignores the fact that the progressive movement continue to flourish in this country. That the GOP needs to now run moderate candidates and has completely abandoned the social right base they used to slobber all over, that shows what direction the country has been/is heading in.
So I'm not feeling as bad as you think I should.
But you're all feeling a whole lot better than you should...and that gives me comfort as well.
So thanks.
2010 indeed...

"But you're all feeling a whole lot better than you should...and that gives me comfort as well."

If you were feeling comfortable, you and the rest of the trolls wouldn't be spamming the latest set of reality-defying Journolist/Axelturf talking points on these threads.

The 2010 midterms are gonna be mighty sweet.

"If you were feeling comfortable, you and the rest of the trolls wouldn't be spamming the latest set of reality-defying Journolist/Axelturf talking points on these threads.

It's all juvenile revenge fantasies for the wing nuts. After all, they have no ideas, no principles and nothing else to offer, so their movement is based solely on personal pettiness. That and intellectual dishonesty. Regardless of the exit polls that showed the voters themselves saying that Obama was not a factor, because their new queen, Michele Bachmann, says he WAS, then all the wing nuts have to pretend it was too. The conservative movement: people pretending in unison.

Bob, thank you for that additional helping of Journolist/Axelturf talking point spam.

2010.

Bob = Parrot!!!

Nice rehash of the Daily Koz talking points!! Now I don't have to go there myself today!!

It is so thoughtful of you and the other moonbat's to help spread Uncle George's and Axelrod's disinformation campaign!!

Like I said, Stuck on stupid!!!

"Nice rehash of the Daily Koz talking points!! Now I don't have to go there myself today!!"

This from someone who apparently thinks that breitbart is a credible and unbiased source of information. Some other winger linked to the national review. I'll put the credibility of abc news up against those wing nut franchises any day. Like I was saying, the conservative movement is characterized by nothing so much as intellectual dishonesty.

Bob, thank you for that additional helping of Journolist/Axelturf talking point spam.

2010.
