You can view them in the horrendous graph via this link: Obama's forecasts with and without the stimulus versus the reality Americans now struggle with everyday as unemployment jumps above 10%. The liberals were warned this would happen. They were told by economists the disastrously ineffective nature of bringing back economic policy destined to reek havoc on the American economy and bankrupt an already depleted Federal Treasury. But did they listen?
No, they did not. And now they are poised to act in another irresponsible manner without listening, again. They appear to be content to break the economic back of this country without giving it a second thought. Why not? That's what socialists do. They don't care about jobs that aren't government provided. The private sector, thriving businesses that hire real workers? Why care about those? They don't pony up for the Democrats until they are taxed. And those are coming, too. They are making it so that there is no alternative, even though our own personal and business treasuries will be depleted even more by then.
"Families across this nation are devastated by the reality of a 26-year high unemployment rate. It's hard to find a friend or a neighbor who hasn't been touched by today's news that the national unemployment rate is 10.2 percent. The challenges facing our families and small businesses are obvious to those who are listening. Unfortunately, the Democrat leadership has turned a deaf ear to the concerns voiced by countless citizens, and the American people are paying the price.
What good are wealth and private productivity in the statists view? They are valuable only to the extent that they serve Big Government, the only thing power mad Democrats really care about at all. They must be stopped before they so ruin this country and our economy, it may never come back. And we have to stop them here and now, not in some tremendously wrong-headed forecast like the ones Obama relies upon to shove more spending and taxes down taxpayers throats with his oh so lofty rhetoric. And even that doesn't look so lofty any more. It looks pathetically naive and totally out of sync with the America we all know and want to see flourish, again.
A statement by Mike Pence, who I had the good fortune of meeting yesterday when I was down in DC.

Whether it be FDR's New Deal, Johnson's Great Society, Clinton's attempt at health care reform -- there are some tenets of statism that will never die no matter how often they are discredited with reality. For a liberal to comprehend and admit the grevious shortcomings of statism, particular when attempts are made to apply them to the American political system, is like a priest denying the existence of God or a humanist denying the existence of self -- it is a shot to the heart and deeply emotionally disturbing. The result: denial. Where there is denial, the same mistakes are repeated over and over again.

In the minds of Team Obama, that graph comparing actual unemployment vs that projected w/o stimulus and that projected with stimulus only reinforces just how bad the Bush problem turned out to be. In their minds, their only mistake was to underestimate the Bush disaster they inherited while boasting about much worst it would have been were it not for their courageously heroic efforts. THEY are the victims, not us.

What is the solution? I just want a job...if one is not in their 20's or 30's it is impossible to even get an interview???? We baby boomers who lived a comfortable lifestyle, payed our taxes, supported unecessarily ridiculous government programs (the space program? billions wasted instead of providing incentives to the private sector to create jobs? I don't understand? Forgive my ignorance.) JMHO...collecting unemployment is humiliating, depleting one's savings is devastating, declaring bankruptcy is a horror...it just keeps spiralling downward. Not saying oh pooor me....it is happening to so very many people that want to work and resume a normal life? Will it happen in our lifetime? Will we recover? More apologies for being such a ray of sunshine...lol...but it is getting beyond me and thousands more, and the politics of the Dems are just exacerbating the pathetic financial situation and as always making dependency on federal gov't their only solution...ughhhhhhhhhhh....see you in the bread line!

Let's give a shout out to the Democrats for continuing the Bush administration's bail out policy.
I did notice that not once did the Dims try to stop that administration's spending, tho.
It just gets curiouser and curiouser, don't it? Could it have been a plan? Naw.

We all must remember that in order to force Americans to beg for socialism, government rescue the economy and all our patriotic symbolism must first be destroyed..........

To counter the "blame Obama" theme, see below:
Published online by Irwin M. Stelzer on 12/19/2008 in the Weekly Standard (hardly a liberal apologist):
'Bush knows that Obama is inheriting a very difficult economic situation indeed. So does the president-elect. Economists with whom I have spoken--and these are the people listened to at the highest levels in both parties and at Ben Bernanke's Federal Reserve Board--believe that the unemployment rate, now at 6.7 percent, will hit double digits sometime in 2009, and stay there well into 2010. They expect house prices to drop another 15 percent and share prices at least another 10 percent before finding a bottom.Worse still, they are predicting an extraordinarily sluggish recovery. Since unemployment is what economists call a lagging indicator--job creation doesn't start until a recovery is well under way--the unemployment rate might remain high well into 2011.'
But of course we all know that reality has a left-wing bias.

Winston is right as rain. GW lit that damned match and it isn't Obie's fault that throwing gas on it isn't putting it out.

2011 until there is a recovery from the high unemployment rate????? GREEEEEEEEAT! let's just slit our throats now...Blame Obama, blame GW, blame Clinton, yada, yada, yada...what can be done to stimulate the job market??? Sounds like nothing can be done?
