h/t TCOTReport: As the entire GOP associated with NY - 23, even those most instrumental in giving her the nod, abandon Scozzafava for Hoffman, her Republican support has dropped further and faster than the Maidenform variety Dede always seemed to lack. Seriously you couldn't tell if it was that, or her ankles were swelling. The Liberal traitor was no more ready for prime time, than was she right for the GOP. And there is a serious lesson in all this, no matter what.
The people stepped up to lead in NY - 23. Now every card carrying member of the GOP is following them, not the reverse. If you've been howling about a government out of touch and un-responsive to your needs, NY - 23 is an example of what it's going to take to turn things around. There needn't be top down over the top liberal appeasement if you don't want it. We don't have to allow the GOP to ram candidates down our throats. If we're smart and remain dedicated, we can re-make the Republican Party from the ground up. But we are going to have to remain engaged.
PLATTSBURGH — Area Republican leaders are offering their support to Conservative Party candidate Douglas Hoffman in the race for the 23rd Congressional District.
Clinton County Republican Party Chairwoman Janet Duprey and Franklin County Republican Party Chairman James Ellis both issued statements Monday saying their party will be backing Hoffman.
The move comes a day after Republican Dierdre "Dede" Scozzafava, who dropped out of the race on Saturday, endorsed Democrat William Owens.
There are opportunities and resources all over the web today for you to do your part, no matter what it might be. Step up, and bad politicians will step down and others will follow. The people led what's going on in NY - 23. And most of us are all a part of that in some small way. Don't drop-off, or drop-out after one election. It's going to be a long slog. You're either down for the cause, or you're wasting your time yelling about a system you're too lazy to change.
Don't let the moment pass you by. Simply getting involved and doing whatever you can is leading when the people and not the politicians are in charge. And that's the way it's supposed to be until they finish counting the votes. It's only then that representative government kicks in. And after we shake it up, we're going to be here to keep an eye on it, too. We are the only source of energy and power that can get America back on the right track. Get on board the bus, or get out of the way. If you get on, unlike Obama, conservatives aren't going to toss you off, or under because we're afraid to speak our minds in your defense. This is our country, we love it and we're proud of it and its past, just as much as we want to be proud of her now. And unlike Progressives with their un-American agenda, we're not ashamed because we don't have anything to hide. It's been public and in writing in the Constitution for over 200 years. There is no fundamental reason to change all that now because one neophyte in the WH and some professional political hacks in Congress think they can.

Well, the whole "sat on for three days" incident certainly precluded a resurrection. ;)
