On what looks to be tear-filled stationery.* Dear Barack, I almost got off my fat arse and campaigned for you. But I did make a website post, or two. That said.
If you go to West Point tomorrow night (Tuesday, 8pm) and announce that you are increasing, rather than withdrawing, the troops in Afghanistan, you are the new war president. Pure and simple. And with that you will do the worst possible thing you could do -- destroy the hopes and dreams so many millions have placed in you. With just one speech tomorrow night you will turn a multitude of young people who were the backbone of your campaign into disillusioned cynics. You will teach them what they've always heard is true -- that all politicians are alike.
I know you know that there are LESS than a hundred al-Qaeda left in Afghanistan! A hundred thousand troops trying to crush a hundred guys living in caves? Are you serious? Have you drunk Bush's Kool-Aid? I refuse to believe it.
Your potential decision to expand the war (while saying that you're doing it so you can "end the war") will do more to set your legacy in stone than any of the great things you've said and done in your first year. One more throwing a bone from you to the Republicans and the coalition of the hopeful and the hopeless may be gone -- and this nation will be back in the hands of the haters quicker than you can shout "tea bag!"
Obama's response - Dear Fathead, Drop Dead. And don't think you're getting public health care until you get off your fat arse and exercise a bit.
... Obama has issued his order to send more troops to Afghanistan, communicating his decision to military leaders late Sunday afternoon during a meeting in the Oval Office, and will spend Monday speaking with foreign leaders to share with them the broad outlines of his new strategy, the White House said.
*spelling correction.

So, we could have a worse POTUS than TOTUS.

First he appoints the guy, then he second guesses the guy, then he gives the guy 90% of what he wanted, only he waits so long to do it if there are any failures he owns it!
Brilliant!

Doing what the Pres does best, break campaign promises. He played his votes, telling them what they wanted to hear. Boo Hoo MM, go cry in your beer. But this is a one I wish happened faster as each day that indecision ticked by, more of our brave soldiers were in harm's way.

"I refuse to believe it."
Typical Obama voter.
"do more to set your legacy in stone than any of the great things you've said and done in your first year"
No Mike, I'm pretty sure that everyone will remember the stimulus. China probably won't let us forget.
See Mike, the last surge, the one that Obama swore would make things much worse...made things a lot better. George Bush did that after he fired Rummy. It was a decision that Bush made without any help or support from anyone (especially in the MSM or Hollywood!).
And still he was ridiculed.
And now, your halo wearing savior is doing the EXACT. SAME. THING.
As Bobby Dylan once said, how does it feel?

Obama is turning out to be more conservative than a lot of people expected.

What exactly is MM talking about when he stated this: "great things you've said and done in your first year". Like closing Gitmo, like ending don't ask don't tell, like keeping unemployment at 8.5%, like stopping Iran from anymore nuke development, like stopping NorKi from anymore nuke testing, like winning in Afghanistan, like being the most transparent WH evah, like not hiring lobbyists, like not taxing people under $250K, like ending global hoax warming, like winning the olympic bid, like not look like a fool on Hondo, like supporting the freedom loving Iranians, like keeping his word to the Poles, like not checking out a 14 year old' azz, like not ending the race debate, like not spending a trillion dollars, like not calling the ft. hood act an act of terrorism, like not trying the 9-11 jerks in ny, like solivng the palestine/israel conflict? oh I know, he wished everyone on the haj peace love and happiness the other day while our troops ate cold turkey and were wondering WTF is up with the cinc. The only thing obama did this year was win the nobel prize for peace and that was a surprise, i wonder if sending 38K troops to afghan is going to create more peace? He did purchase GM and Chrysler, and look its ford making the profit. Lets see, he own several banks and insurance agencies, and he is printing money faster than we can make ink. Please, if I left anything out let me know so that I can get a grasp on what MM is talking about.

Nah, x11b, I'm pretty sure you covered everything the man-child did/didn't do in one year.
If I were a bonged out hippie ,aka college prof, from the '60s I'd ask fat Mikey what is that you're smokin'? It looks to be some good chit!
What I don't understand is why the man-child is stupid enough to go before a lot of potential Generals to peddle his crap. I know there will be a few messiah lovers there, but I ain't believin' there'll be a bunch.

rokker, only if your definition of conservative includes doing everything including nothing to make America's position worse.

"Obama is turning out to be more conservative than a lot of people expected."
I wouldn't confuse paralysis with conservative.

Chucklehead had no choice on the Stan. We already know he has no cards ... and of course, he can't bluff. It is all, and only. About one thing. His attempts to keep one step ahead. Keeping people from finding out. Who he really is .... what badge he well and truly wears.

The horror of this insect, this parasite will only grow. In the mintues, days and weeks ahead. It really won't be pretty.
Normally, when the driver of the bus you're riding on, becomes incapacitated. Someone yanks the driver out his seat. And takes control of the vehicle. To safely bring it to a stop. Before impact.

I don't know what to say. I read Obama's letter and I'm impressed.

Outside of that whole "I'm cleaning up Bush's mess" crapola. You ran for the job and with your big mouth you won. So don't blame Bush because he didn't give you the America that you wanted to lead when you got the job. Contrary to the opinion of your buddy Van Jones, Bush didn't blow up the twin towers. That was a situation that he inherited from Clinton. Bush had the balls to stand up and make bold decisions about it, and I don't recall him elevating his critics by answering them in such a way as you have.
Perhaps if Obama would simply speak to the Rush’s the Beck’s and the rest of the Fox news in such a manner, there may not be so many ‘haters’ as there would simply be opposition.

Dithering isn't conservative. As far Bows-a-Lot, he'll be about 20 mins. from my house tonight but I am most definitely not watching this garbage. Rush will reverse-engineer it to my satisfaction tomorrow.

Veterans who dedicate their lives serving our country, the United States of America. Any person who serves in our military willingly to sacrifice their lives in harm's way for this country shouldn't have to ask for a free lunch, it should be given automatically.
