According to a new Rasmussen poll, McCain looks to be running about even in the upcoming GOP primary. Somehow I'm thinking Simcox's 4% wouldn't go to McCain were Simcox not involved. Simcox staying in for 4% of the vote would be foolish under the circumstances.
Senator John McCain’s future in the U.S. Senate may be a little less assured than previously thought.
A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely 2010 Republican Primary voters in Arizona finds the longtime incumbent in a virtual tie with potential challenger J.D. Hayworth. McCain earns 45% of the vote, while Hayworth picks up 43%.
Former Minuteman leader Chris Simcox gets four percent (4%) support, while two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate and seven percent (7%) are undecided.

John McCain...guess what time it is? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOW4QiOD-oc
It is time for you to step down.

Watch McCain go begging help from Sarah Palin when the election gets close and I am afraid she has so much class that she will help him cross the finish line, and then he will forget her again when his people say she did nothing for him.

Hayworth is by far the better candidate. After the experience that Palin had with McCain's Organization it would serve her better to not offer her support.

This has less to do with his politics and more to do with his lack of class after the election last year.
Had he not been so petty (or at least appeared that way) and stood up and defended Palin against his underlings I figure it'd probably be clear sailing for the man.
Although I do hope that he does ask Palin to support him, as the schadenfreude alone would make my year.

Good!
It's about time AZ got rid of it's a**hole.
I hope Palin tells him to get bent.

McCain has been such a pain to most (R)s over the years; it's time for the big payoff back to his past performance. Unfortunately the the people like Jon Kyl have already commented that that Hayworth won't run, that's unfortunate. That 100 plus heat was too much for me and I don't have a vote there anymore. I definitely would contribute to his campaign if he enters.
I surely hope that Palin does what's best for her; and that includes not ridign rescue to "yosemite" Sam if he's in trouble.
