It appears as though Obama is on a crash course to meet his Saddam Hussein, only potentially much worse. That could prove to be a very untimely distraction for a guy increasingly known for his willingness and ability to bow to anything and everything. h/t Instapundit.
Obama is already managing one war and seemingly mis-managing another in Afghanistan. It's doubtful that any form of a military confrontation with Iran is workable just now. And I imagine the Iranians know that better than anyone. They more than anyone have been allowed to make America's battles in both countries as difficult as possible. If the wise men Noonan points to at the second link above don't soon emerge, it may be too late to salvage much of anything for Obama's time in the White House.
Change is the the last thing he wants to hear come 2012. Just as it made him, the word could bring him down. Perhaps irony might prove to be his best, if not only next campaign slogan.
TEHRAN, Iran (AP) - Iran's parliament may consider withdrawing the country from the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty in response to a resolution by the U.N. nuclear watchdog censuring Tehran over its nuclear program, a hardline lawmaker said Saturday.
Mohammad Karamirad, a senior lawmaker, said parliament may also consider blocking inspections of Iran's nuclear facilities by the International Atomic Energy Agency. Tehran has allowed such inspections so far.
The threats come a day after the board of the U.N. nuclear agency passed a resolution demanding Tehran immediately stop building its newly revealed nuclear facility near the holy city of Qom and freeze uranium enrichment.
Karamirad does not speak for the government but his statements reflect hardline thinking that the government usually pursues.

Only the putrid puddles a piss, the AP (al Qaeda Propaganda) would put forth the proposition:
"Iran's parliament may consider withdrawing the country from the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty in response to a resolution by the U.N ..."
That Iran are/have been followers/participants/honorers of the treaty. A signature [by the Shah? (no less)], however many decades ago? Not worth the proverbial paper, it's printed on. What a load a cr*p.
Netanyahu's driving the bus. He'll decide when it stops, where it stops, and on which day. Has nothing to do with Buraq the Magic Pony, anymore. At all.
