Yesterday there was talk of Iran withdrawing from the Non-Proliferation Treaty and stopping IAEA inspections. Today they announced plans to build ten new enrichment facilities. The Left's foreign policy establishment will tell us this is just rhetoric to fashion a bargaining position. To some degree that's often true when dealing with the Middle-East.
A defiant Iranian government led by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad vowed on Sunday to build 10 new uranium enrichment plants and also study a plan to process the material to 20 percent purity, state media reported.
The hardline stance -- seen as hitting out at world powers led by Washington -- came after the conservative-dominated parliament urged the government to reduce ties with the UN atomic watchdog which on Friday condemned Iran for building its second uranium enrichment plant.
However, even if that were the case, what does it say about our bargaining position when Obama is traveling around the globe telling anyone who will listen that he intends to significantly reduce America's nuclear capability? In short, the Iranian government is embarrassing him - and America in the process. The last time this happened there was hell to pay through a year-long hostage situation.
Finally, given that the Iranian leader's rhetoric has been so inflammatory for so long, it's unclear to what degree they may be bluffing, if they are at all. And then there is Iran's ongoing efforts in South America. While realizing Israel is the wild card in all this, were one to draw a thumbnail sketch of which power was on the way up and which on the way down influence-wise, under the current potus, it's fairly clear which one America is, unfortunately.
"We feel at home here and among our brothers ... we're going to be together until the end," Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told his Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chavez during a visit to Latin America on Wednesday.

This is nothing but Jimmy Carter revisited. See how bold our enemies have suddenly become ? Remember how the Iranians humiliated Carter with the hostages ? Remember how they stumbled over themselves in haste to release them, right before Reagan was sworn in ? They did not want to risk it with a President with some juevos. With Obama, why not ?

Wait - I thought Obama's foregin policy justice league team was going to stop all of this Iran stuff by doing the EXACT opposite of what Bush did? Hmmm! I wonder how hard the Iranians laugh at US, they probably can't even sit in a room and utter the first syllable of Obama's name without breaking into gutteral laughter.

I read a report that they tested a two-point implosion design (I'll see if I can find the story) with an inert pit. If that's the case, the whole uranium enrichment drama may be a ruse, as implosion devices use plutonium.

I hope you can find the link, I would like to read it. If true, that is probably why Israel told the one that if he did not fix this Iran stuff (like he promised a year ago) by Christmas they would attack Iran.

Shating away ... on the thin ice ... of a new day. It's like awakening in another dimension (who the fook are these poeple? How did I get here?).
Israel's attack on Iran is a done deal. Bank.
A world so complex, spinning out of control, ever faster. As it does ... Deliverance Day approaches [inside a few weeks/outside six months (tops)] .... (anyone who thinks the impending decimation of Iran's nuke/industrial complex. Is/will be frought with difficulty/peril? The laugh will be on you [wait, watch, see ... really couldn't be any easier])].
Gawd I could really use a sippa bubbly these days (if yur leesinin?).
And so it goes [boom shakalaka (boom)].

I think Iran will have a weaponizeable series of warheads before Obama realizes that diplomacy has gotten him nowhere and nothing but a middle-east arms race in full bloom.

Obama needs to issue anothe stern, "We are losing our patience."
It has been tremendously effective so far.
