Huckabee Takes Swipe At Sarah Palin

The Huckster took a swipe at Sarah Palin and he did it with a smile. He does everything with a smile, being far from the first snake I've seen that has himself one of those. At least she isn't a Mormon. He might cut her a little bit of slack. Why am I thinking Huck has now read every Palin column Andy Sullivan has ever written?

The Hucky puck doesn't like it that he's being overshadowed by both Palin and Romney, who comes up in the interview, as well. Is Huck's real problem that Sarah may have blown him off as far as appearing on his show? Or is he laying the ground work for 2010? My guess is, it's a little bit of both. The dude should shave his legs and see how he looks in a skirt. Maybe he can compete, maybe not. But it's fairly clear that whatever bit of rock star rep Huck had because he plays the bass is destined to be overshadowed by Sarah Palin no matter what he does.

I doubt any swipes he takes at Palin are going to win him many new fans. And that's just fine and dandy as far as I'm concerned.

“Some of the people who had excoriated me and really been very dismissive of me for views that I had taken, and labeled me anything from a populist to an ignoramus — the same people have been very defensive [of] and laudatory to Sarah Palin,” Huckabee noted, adding that he’d invited her to appear on his weekly Fox show but “could never get any contact.”

“I’m glad she’s getting the props — I know I’m not nearly as attractive,” he said with a guileless grin.

Huckabee is unceasingly pleasant and mild, even in relating his grievances. The same sense of humor is there, too. But so are an obvious frustration and a barely concealed bitterness, as well as the underlying question of whether Huckabee really wants to go through with this again or, instead, succumb fully to the showbiz side that he began polishing as a teenage disc jockey in Hope, Ark.

Keep hope alive, dope. But don't let your Fox contract expire. You might find yourself having problems winning the next job you might desire.

Something about Huck that I don't trust. His veneer reminds me too much of Jim Baker of PTL fame, Ted Haggard etc. Not that Hucklebee has those problems or addictions.... but, still.

McCain was my absolute last choice in the Republican primaries in 08. Huck was giving him a run for his money, though.

better start getting used to Huckabee as I personally think he is putting himself in strong position regardless. Romney is sinking fast. The GOP establishment with the help of the media will do anything it takes to ensure Palin doesn't get the nomination and all of the other up-and-comings will not be eager to take on the Juggernaut that is President Obama. Huckabee is looking odds on favorite at the moment but who knows.

If Sarah Palin had gone on national TV and talked about frying squirrels in a popcorn popper, do you think they would have given her a pass? If she had written a foreign policy paper as incoherent, poorly written, and generally idiotic as that piece of garbage Huckabee wrote during the primary, do you think they would have given her a pass? If she had a family photo taken with everybody morbidly obese and wearing those gawd-awful matching striped shirts, do you think they would have given her a pass?

Hell no. But Huckster gets to pall around with Perky McBitchy at some journalists' party and laugh along at the "I can see Russia from my house" fabrication.

Kind of tells you who they fear, doesn't it?

I can't wait to see Palin mop the floor with Schmuckaby in the primary debates.

Your first sentence hit on what I think every time I see him. I grew up "in the church" and he's every smiling snake oil salesman I ever saw. One of my favorite things was when he made the mistake of trying to take on Ann Coulter over points she had made about his RINO-ness and whatnot on his show. Needless to say, she wouldn't give an inch. He was clearly rattled(but still smiling!!).

FOX news sure needs a good purge...Geraldo, Huckabee, Bob Beckel[WTF? Beckel?]O'Reilly....they all make my skin crawl. Lately FOX has been really doing up the RINO thing...."we have to have on both sides" even if it means our viewers gag, run for the tums and then switch channels.
Funny, I don't remember CNN, or MSNBC getting their panties in a twist trying to have on conservatives....do you?

Well, folks, you just keep up your hatefeast -- don't worry a bit about it -- the queen of your hearts has over 2/3s of the country finding her disqualified for presidency -- but she has you guys, doesn't she.

As for Huckabee, don't worry about him either. I know he is a "parlor snake" and whatnot -- but he is also on top of every single poll lately -- and, oh yeah, he has the number 1 weekend hit and over 450 radio affiliates on his trice daily ABC radio show.

And he is packing them in on his book tour -- recently brought in over 3,200 people for a Sunday service. Your girl ain't the only one who draws in the crowds -- and he has brains on top of that.

So, keep it up -- share the love amongst yourself. Nobody else wants any part of you -- or your lady love!!

Close your eyes and imagine Palin looks like Janet Reno. Would you still be touting her for President? I doubt it. If she gets the GOP nomination, she'll get fewer votes than Goldwater. Huckabee may be an AHO, but let's keep looking for a viable candidate so we don't give Obama another 4 years to turn us into France.

So one third of the population think this private citizen is qualified to be president and over 60% think she is honest and trustworthy -and she has NEVER thrown her hat in the ring. This is actually pretty amazing considering she has not had the opportunity to present herself to the country the way she is about to. Watch out!
