What a joke Editor and Publisher is today. Is the big bad media ganging up on poor little old ACORN, that does such lofty, such praise-worthy work? Geez. Give me a break guys.
An organization shouldn't even pretend to do objective analysis on media bias when it is so patently biased itself. It seems ACORN isn't the only one involved in this story interested in promoting prostitution. Quite a nice trick turned here by E&P, even if I do say so myself.
Despite ACORN’s diverse community organizing work in cities across the country, in 2007-2008, 55% of the stories about the organization dealt with voter fraud. (In the month before the election, during October 2008, the frame intensified; 76 percent of the ACORN stories focused on allegations of voter fraud.)
The problems with the voter fraud story began with an often-ignored but crucial distinction on semantics: the troubles with ACORN in 2008 were instances of voter registration fraud, not voter fraud, which is the casting of fraudulent votes. The blurry terminology was encouraged by the conservative press and political figures like McCain and Palin, and often appeared in mainstream media reports. But, while the distinction between registration and voting was absent from many reports, there were even more problems of negligence in reporting on ACORN:

Along with the leaked CRU e-mails, ACORN is being rescued by the International Left's Big Lie specialists. These agitprop dudes like Greg Mitchell, who recently ran E & P into the ground with his arrantly biased leftist screeds, are able to take malefactors like the AGW hoax-fabricators and turn them into victims of "illegal" hackers. Odds are that one of the CRU cabal actually grew a conscience and leaked e-mails to which he was privy out into the blogosphere to reveal the gigantic lying and cheating these so-called "scientists" are managing to accomplish to willing politicians eager to find ways to tax citizens for every breath they take.

I remember the day they did this to ACORN and then a submission flew to the front of reddit and said "ACORN vindicated" and it proved Fox news wrong instantly. Then, to my amazement, the entire thread was flooded by nay sayers and fox news like comments and from there on ACORN content on reddit has been completely negative up until this thread. I just don't understand how it was so quickly shot down and then boom... it's huge.
