h/t JL in email. Sad, of course. It seems police are increasingly less convinced Census worker Bill Sparkman met with foul play due to his government job. While not yet drawing conclusions, suicide is said to be the way their investigation is going. Don't wait to the Left to care. They got their mileage out of the guy. It isn't as if they actually carted about him at all.
WASHINGTON — Investigators probing the death of a Kentucky census worker found hanging from a tree with the word "fed" scrawled on his chest increasingly doubt he was killed because of his government job and are pursuing the possibility he committed suicide, law enforcement officials told The Associated Press.
Two officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the case, said no final conclusions have been made in the case. In recent weeks, however, investigators have grown more skeptical that 51-year-old Bill Sparkman died at the hands of someone angry at the federal government.
The officials said investigators continue to look closely at suicide as a possible cause of Sparkman's death for a number of reasons. There were no defensive wounds on Sparkman's body, and while his hands were bound with duct-tape, they were still somewhat mobile, suggesting he could have manipulated the rope, the officials said.

I'll bet his hands were bound ... in front... not behind his back, so that he had access to the rope etc. I'll bet only his fingerprints were found on the tape and the ink marker was close by with his fingerprints only. No doubt the police are just waiting for the thing to calm down, the Left to finish their wet dreams of "southern justice", before they announced the findings.
No, Sparkman was a failure who couldn't face his past or his future with cancer, so he decided to go out with a fake lynching to blame the region that ignored him. He couldn't stand being ignored. That's why he put himself on Myspace:

A lonely man.

Hey, if someone else's fingerprints were on the tape, they would have said so, and said it was murder. Since they haven't said that, one can only conclude it was suicide. The fact that he wrote FED on his chest shows he was trying to blame the region. If FED was written on his back, that would be murder.

Meanwhile Geraldine Ferraro is excusing the Christianist extremist killer in Texas because he was being picked on for being a Muslim...oh wait, a Christianist. Anyway, they made him do it.

Nice instincts Riehl. Vindication?
Like you said, the left did not care at all. Sad they attempted to use this man's death as a prop to score political points. They Grayson'ed him.

Offhand, Dan, I'd say several dozen drive-by d-bags owe you several dozen apologies.
Not that they'll ever come by and render them, you understand.
