Further statement expected by 4PM. That sure does look like one curious accident.
The agent for Tiger Woods has told USA TODAY that the golf superstar is fine after crashing his vehicle outside his Florida home early Friday.
According to an official release from FHP and reported by Florida Today, Woods, had pulled out of his driveway in a Cadillac SUV.
As he began to drive .... (Woods) struck a fire hydrant," FHP reported. The front of Wood's vehicle "then struck a tree" located at a neighboring property.Florida Today says FHP is reporting the crash remains under investigation and that charges are pending.

Maybe it was just dark. And his monstahlade hit the hydrant because it was too dark to see or in a blind spot - and the first collision caused him to lose control, overcorrect and hit the tree.
He has facial lacerations, so he might have gotten a face full of windshield - or just hit the steering wheel.

"...charges are pending..."
Hmmmm....
Can't help but think that the holidays are fraught with family squabbles...

That's unfortunate. A really nice neighborhood like that and they keep moving those damn trees and fire hydrants around. Hope he's ok.

thank God he wasn't drinking, he might have hit a telephone pole, then a car and run through a house.

Maybe the busted lip had something to do with this story that came out yesterday.

He may very well stifle any comment on this, but he will have lost at least one golf fan (me) for the way he is treating the police. No excuse for that. Tell them the truth and all is fine. Why won’t he do that ? Can’t speak for anyone else, but that tells me he is hiding something. And I find it very disrespectful of the police. The same people that protect him at every golf tournament he plays in!
