Are you ready for some laughs? Can you believe it? The administration that has received more fawning press that any other administration of either party in modern times is crying about the press. ha ha ha Yeah, that's right. Leave Barack Alone!! Oh man, talk about nerve.
For press secretary Robert Gibbs, the realization came in early September, when the New York Times ran a front-page story about the bubbling parental outrage over President Obama's plan to address schoolchildren — even though the benign contents of the speech were not yet public. "You had to be like, 'Wait a minute,'" says Gibbs. "This thing has become a three-ring circus."
For deputy communications director Dan Pfeiffer, the more hyperbolic attacks on health-care reform this summer, which were often covered as a "controversy," flipped an internal switch. "When you are having a debate about whether or not you want to kill people's grandmother," he explains, "the normal rules of engagement don't apply."
Not only is it uncalled for, it's simply dumb. There are few things the press likes less than to be told by anyone outside the box that they aren't doing their job, or are exhibiting bias somehow. What a hoot. Unfortunately, there's a very frightening element to this, too.
What it tells us is that no press, no matter how favorable in a general sense, is to be tolerated by this Waah! House. They want their own Pravda and settling for second best will not do.
If anyone is guilty of anything here, it's this Waah! House for believing all their positive press in the first place. Man, oh man. This is getting into Jimmy Carter's Malaise speech territory now. Before it's all over, they're going to have to send Gibbs packing home to his Mama's arms and Barack is going to end up in a ball being comforted by Michelle.
Now there's a revoltin' development!
Fair is fair, except when it comes to us, said the Waah! House! You gave us the best that you had to get us elected. Now that we're here, anything less is simply not going to do. We assume you do want that bail-out, right? Be afraid, people, be very afraid. This Waah! House has already shown that it will stop at nothing to get what it wants. Note: 2010 is the most important midterm election we have ever faced. I can't stress that enough.
This Waah! House needs a diaper change and a good rap in the chops!

How dare they question the great Xerxes!!
The Pravda media is not properly staying on message!!
This simply will not do!!
Everyday I think that I'll wake up and this nightmare will be over, but like a bad case of Herpes it just won't go away!!
I am starting to see that the American Sheeple are no longer laying down and taking it in the rear (sorry Andy no reference to you or Conor)!
I've been saying it for months but 2010 will make 1996 look like a minor speed bump when the "most ethical congress in history" is tossed out on it's ass!!
First the House in 2010 then the Senate and POTUS in 2012!!
The failed social experiment of the progressives will be a distant memory to our children as they inherit the massive debt left by Uncle George and his jew hating puppets like Barry!!
mmmmm!!!! mmmmm!!!! mmmmm!!!!!

ahhhh.. what brilliant insight by Mr. Riehl. Oh, I hope this latest poll doesn't rain on your parade SackMan:
But Republicans get their lowest grades since Obama was elected on several measures:
* Voters disapprove 64 - 25 percent of the way Republicans in Congress are doing their job, with 42 percent of Republican voters disapproving;
* Only 29 percent think Republicans on Capitol Hill are acting in good faith;
* Voters trust Obama more than Republicans 47 - 31 percent to handle health care;
* Voters 53 - 25 percent have an unfavorable opinion of the Republican Party.

* Voters disapprove 56 - 33 percent of the way Democrats in Congress are doing their job, with 27 percent of Democrat voters disapproving;
* Only 41 percent think Democrats on Capitol Hill are acting in good faith;
* Voters trust Obama more than Democrats ----- percent to handle health care (woops, never asked THAT question!);
* Voters 46 - 385 percent have an unfavorable opinion of the Democrat Party.
What's your point?

What Proud Liberal fails to mention is that in the Quinnipiac poll 47% opposed Obama's healthcare plans and only 40% supported him. It should also be noted that this is amongst registered voters and not likely voters so the actual number of opposed, at least as far as politicians are concerned, is likely higher. (I couldn't find the breakdown of party identification though.)
He also fails to mention the Pew survey which came out that had the number opposed at 47% and the number in support at only 34% despite the fact it they surveyed adults, which should give Obama his best numbers. They also gave the Democrats an 11 point advantage in party identification despite the fact that during the 2008 election, when the Dem's numbers should have been at their highest, there was only a 6 point difference.
So anyway despite all this just remember: all polls are bulls**t until the election.

Quinnipiac is a well-known left-leaning poll -- has been for years!

The Republicans have a poor approval rating because there are so few with a backbone or leadership ability. They're pathetic and they've been pathetic for years now. RINOs have got to go because they are sucking the life out of the Party.
