Last week it was the Pakistani Intelligence Service, this week the Federal Investigative Agency. They're at the heart of the Pakistani effort in fighting the Taliban. I hope the WH realizes that while Obama muddles about over a decision on Afghanistan, Pakistan appears to be unraveling. I realize it's a bit of a distraction from his health care bill. But I hope Obama is paying attention and understands the significance of it, even if he does pronounce the name strangely for an American.
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) -- Militants launched a string of bold strikes against Pakistani law enforcement Thursday, leaving at least 27 police officers and civilians dead, authorities said.
At least 11 militants died in the fighting, while others were missing.Three nearly simultaneous assaults were carried out mid-morning in the eastern city of Lahore, said police spokesman Rai Nazar Hayat.
Militants stormed Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency, along with two police training centers. The attackers gained entrance to each facility, setting set off explosives and taking hostages in some cases. At least 16 police died in the Lahore attacks.
Funny how we troops are the last to get backup from the democrats! We've heard nothing on this end but the sound of Obama's feet dragging. Unfortunately, that does not bring us home or settle any conflicts sooner. It also gets the innocent killed! As soldiers we're all asking ourselves, "WHOSE GOT OUR BACKS NOW?" The dems would rather see us soldiers eaten by beasts before they would give up their big$%#ss cigars and pride! In most cases, they've kept us in these conflict zones because they don't know how to tell their 'unamerican', 'flag lowering', voters that they were wrong, and that more soldiers are needed, along with more firepower, against these tyrants. They blame Bush for this mess, but in reality, Obama has more understanding of what is needed now.
In the end he will build up troops here. I know Bush's plan is working and the results are being seen by us daily. To see such happy faces walking the streets again, you know it's worth it. But you and I know that a few bad apples will spoil the entire bushel if you dont' keep a watch on your bucket! The dems are leaving us in these God-forsaken countries without adaquate protection, weapons, manpower, and supplies for a reason...to allow us to die and show the world they need to vote for someone who was against the war. How ironic. I guess, since we went in on republician president orders, so now we are all deemed dispensable! Everyone wants these conflicts to end, but noone in the WH wants to do what it takes to finish the job.
These tyrants are close minded. The little muslim girl from Florida said it best,"My father loves God more than his family and he will do anything to get into paradise!" War is not pretty, but their are still those of us who put our lives on the line every minute of the day to prove we will not tolerate tyrants who would put the rest of the world under their heavy boot, esp. for not believing in their ways(odd how the dems are doing the same thing by not backing their troops properly; leaving us to die for mere votes...but, everyone has their agenda, I guess.) If these conflicts were fought in our own backyard, ppl would be singing a different tune...just like on 9/11! Too bad a major disaster has to happen and ppl have to die by the thousands in order to gain unity in America! My belief however, is prevention, not scoffing at others who would take action because of some wild, unrealistic Utopian dream...

if only the taliban would follow obama's lead when it comes to not wanting "victory", we could wrap up afghanistan in about 6 months and the troops could be home by next easter.
