Whenever I do something for PJM I seem to get in trouble with the base. Perhaps I should stop?
Nah! Nothing like stirring them up. For the record, I say that Dede Scozzafava is not someone I would vote for, or support. All I do is point out how to take over the Republican Party. And what I mostly hear back is, you liberal this and that.
What a bunch of lazy, whiny dopes who simply want someone else to do the work. But they call themselves conservatives. Read the comments and meet our political welfare class. Waah! Why won't the GOP just give me what I want! Waah!!
I guess their food stamps and government cheese have run out.

Actually, decimation doesn't sound like such a bad idea if you go by the original definition of the word. I don't think we should actually kill every tenth congresscritter, but unelect enough of them and they might set the message...

Anyone that thinks the present GOP is the party of Reagan needs a wake up call. It is the party of the RINOISM that is BUSH. Now Bush had some good quailites however he and his father took the party to the left. his spending, big daddy state government and advebtures overseas destroyed the Reagan party. If the GOP wants to regain majority status they should start by living by the principles of the majority of the country not the 23% of liberals.

With the central point of party participation, agreed. The reality is,however, that in a representative democracy, there has to be some delegation of responsibility. (Not everyone can attend committee meetings at which candidates are picked.) From time to time, those representatives will make egregious mistakes. Should they be covered up and papered over? Better to make an example out of them, and direct attention to replacing the representatives. Firestorms can regenerate new growth.

Dan, you call yourself "center-right". Nice that you are right of Scuzzy, but still, for those of us with jobs, it is kinda hard to go nuts in politics. It is easy for liberals, they get jobs as community activists where they are paid to do this crap for their side.

Dan, I guess I'm one of those "lazy, whiny dopes who simply want someone else to do the work."
Except for the part were I work each and every day. I vote, and I vote for conservative candidates. I have not voted for a D in any election since 1972. I will not vote for a rino ever again, as it just leads to more of the same. I will not send money to national or state Republicans again until there is a change in the leadership. If the R's want my vote, they'll have to run a candidate I will vote for. If the R party is too ignorant to figure this out, then they can go the way of the dodo. We can be called any number of names, it will not result in power for the R party.
I read you every day. Most of the time I'm in agreement. I seldom comment. On this i believe you are wrong. I believe you are missing a rising tide of people like me that do not have time to participate in R party meetings, etc., but do donate money, and do so in order to make this a better country, not an R country. It has become very clear to us that R is just socialist slower. The lesser of two evils appeal will no longer work. The R party ignores this at it's peril.
