Doug Hoffman (I/C, NY-23) has my support. He's a much better than that sell-out RINO Scofflaw and her Dem-Socialist competition.

I guess I am no longer interested in what the RNC (or any other organization) does or doesn't do or why.

If somebody puts up a candidate that looks like he or she can get the job done, I will support and vote for that candidate.. If they don't, I won't.

Why should any conservative take direction from the RNC. I hope the voters clean Scozzafava's clock.

I can see why they might be pissed at you. I mean, who actually likes to be held accountable?

I'm foremost for a conservative candidate every time. I'm willing to compromise in a decidely liberal district, ie for a moderate. NY23 is conservative, and no compromise should be necessary.

Ahem... Conservatives and the NRCC no longer share the same goals. We essentially want to live our live with minimal government interference, and certainly nothing that resembles socialism lite. As the inevitable split grows wider, some of the RINO's will plead that staying with them is the only way to defeat Socialism or worse.

The Tea Party movement is a reaction to republican irresponsibility, IMO. They are too compromised, and too tired to actually do what is best for our country. You see, this everyday biz of go along to get along is self defeating. What common ground do conservatives have with Socialists or Marxixts? So, compromise is actually appeasement, and that just doesn't work out.

And so a call goes out to form a third party. Dan Riehl doesn't agree. The NRCC isn't listening, and frankly, from all I gather on twitter and other places, we really don't care anymore. Look to the future, not the failures of the past. What can tired old men offer? Does the NRCC really understand how offensive their treatment of Sarah Palin was? It really doesn't do to infuriate folks who know how to fight back. True, I'm just one voice among many, but I directly influence many in my community. So, a long fight in the backalleys has started. The unintended consequences of mistreating Sarah Palin, and the rank cowardice that was shown in a refusal to help defend her simply will affect the relationship between conservatives and repubs. At any strategy meeting that I attend, I will use whatever intelligence I've been given by the Good Lord to foment a complete break with the RINO's.

Mr. Riehl hasn't come to the realisation yet that The NRCC isn't his friend either. He's going to stay loyal to the repubs, but the fact that he even has to say such a thing is interesting, to say the least. This is a time when ANYONE can have his say, and some folks who really didn't want to get involved, now have to to protect this country. We as a country know full well that the smartest among us don't go into government service. But the second rate individuals who have got us into this mess have to go. 2010 is gonna be an eyeopening time. I'm going to do my part, but what I do isn't for the RINO's. They are our enemies, just as Chamberlain was the true internal enemy of Great Britain.
