Time was when I never missed a Sunday. But I never really went back after the player's strike. Not like I did before, anyway. For a while I continued to watch the play-offs. Now I don't think much about it unless they happen to be on and there's a team I want to watch playing. Free agency started to ruin the game for old-timers, anyway. And the arrests and continued reliance on thugs and criminals also turned me off.
Personally, I'm not very bought into the story because of all that. But the notion that a prominent and non-racist conservative is unacceptable to them is just another nail in their coffin for me at this point. I guess they'd rather curry favor with the lying race baiters of the Left including Sharpton and Jackson.
A potential ownership group attempting to purchase the St. Louis Rams has dropped radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh as an investor.
The group includes Dave Checketts, the chairman of hockey's St. Louis Blues, and announced the decision to drop Limbaugh on Wednesday.
"Rush was to be a limited partner -- as such, he would have had no say in the direction of the club or in any decisions regarding personnel or operations," Checketts said in a written statement. "This was a role he enthusiastically embraced.
"However, it has become clear that his involvement in our group has become a complication and a distraction to our intentions, endangering our bid to keep the team in St. Louis. As such, we have decided to move forward without him and hope it will eventually lead us to a successful conclusion."
Macsmind links ESPN and there's talk of Limbaugh suing for slander. I hope he does. The whole episode is pathetic and a sign of the liberal decay that plagues this country.
Tomorrow three separate groups, one in the St Louis area will begin boycotts of the NFL, games, merchandise etc. More on that later. As I said yesterday I'm calling for conservatives everywhere to boycott the NFL through the 2009 season. Remember it's not for Limbaugh but for the principle that we will not let liberal thugs spread lies and rumors and threaten the right of ownership of any American.
Today on the morning show we had hundreds of calls in support of Limbaugh and this is good from a South Florida radio audience. Many of them told us that they will too boycott the NFL. Further we received an email from a source which tells us that Limbaugh will be using that money set aside for the purchase to go after those who spread the false rumors by legal means.
"I thought you could still speak your mind."
Not in liberal America, xerocky. The words of liberals stand on their heads. They were for free speech before they were against it. Take note of the new hate crimes legislation moving through Congress. These apes on the Left no more believe in free speech than they believe in free association. They ban conservative speakers on college campuses, yet they are free to do and say whatever they want. It is time for these hypocritical apes to be thrown into the dustbin of history.
