Okay, have at it if you want. Full disclosure - I didn't even know he was in. I simply don't watch much TV. Please don't take my conservative ID away!!
NEW YORK -- Rupert Murdoch continued Fox News Channel's duel with the White House on Friday while also announcing the termination of the network's left-leaning analyst Marc Lamont Hill.
Asked about the White House's recent suggestion that Fox News is acting like an arm of the Republican Party, Murdoch simply said at a shareholders meeting that the criticism has "tremendously increased their ratings."
White House officials have recently stepped up pointed criticism of Fox News in blog postings and media appearances.
Murdoch also said that Hill has been fired. He revealed the move after a shareholder had raised the question of how Hill was hired, citing his "reputation of defending cop killers and racists."
Hill, a frequent guest on "The O'Reilly Factor" and other Fox News shows, has been the target of increasing criticism on the blogosphere for alleged sympathies to controversial figures including Assata Shakur and Mumia Abu-Jamal. Though Hill bills himself as an expert on hip-hop culture, he also drew fire for serving as a liberal foil for various Fox News personalities on subjects far from his stated area of expertise.

Hill went through a transformation when he left Philadelphia and became another "affirmative action" professor at Columbia University. It seems they hired him so they can increae the quota of unqualified minorities. His last few appearances on Fox he acted like a black racists cartoon caricature
....gee another idiot that we wont even miss..

Hill was so wrong much of the time he deserved to be canned in my opinion. I watch Fox News for the Factual Reporting and Insightful Commentary based on Sound Conservative Values and Common Sense as most do as well I would Hope. Much the same reason I read this Blog. Keep up the nice work Dan

I'm glad he's gone. Fox though, is still infested with liberals worse than Hill. Hill at least occasionally conceded a point and would rarely use the time honored Left's tactics of changing the subject, filibustering and talking over/interrupting other commentators.
I don't mind in the least, in fact I welcome, having liberal views enunciated on Fox. I do very much deplore the way Fox allows many of its liberal commentators to hijack the attempted discourse. Part of the blame must rest at the feet of Fox's "hosts". Not just in "managing" their guests' tactics, but also by being a little better informed of the facts.
Fox has a long way to go.

After seeing Hill on the Fox Business Saturday, I'd have to say this prick knows ZERO about how the market functions much less about business. He is the dumbest college grad I've seen on TeeVee! Other than that all I can say is the firing of Hill is RACCCISSST/sarc.

Whenever that moron came on, I flipped over to Sports Center.
Overexposure to insane leftist rantings can impair the ability to reason. (As anyone who may have listened to Rev. Wright for 20 years or so can attest....)

I actually liked Hill's contributions most of the time. I rarely agreed with him, but thought he was more respectful than A. Combs or B. Beckel.
Too bad.
