Unfortunately for Conor with one N, he didn't quite make the list of critics Rush Limbaugh chooses to address here. Read the whole thing. This most certainly qualifies as a low point for media, sports and a diseased, politically correct culture run amok. And one can blame the Left, not the Right and surely not Rush Limbaugh, for that sad state.
Mr. Wilbon wasn't alone. Numerous sportswriters, CNN, MSNBC, among others, falsely attributed to me statements I had never made. Their sources, as best I can tell, were Wikipedia and each other. But the Wikipedia post was based on a fabrication printed in a book that also lacked any citation to an actual source.
I never said I supported slavery and I never praised James Earl Ray. How sick would that be? Just as sick as those who would use such outrageous slanders against me or anyone else who never even thought such things. Mr. Wilbon refuses to take responsibility for his poison pen, writing instead that he will take my word that I did not make these statements; others, like Rick Sanchez of CNN, essentially used the same sleight-of-hand.
The sports media elicited comments from a handful of players, none of whom I can recall ever meeting. Among other things, at least one said he would never play for a team I was involved in given my racial views. My racial views? You mean, my belief in a colorblind society where every individual is treated as a precious human being without regard to his race? Where football players should earn as much as they can and keep as much as they can, regardless of race? Those controversial racial views?

Dan,
Before I criticized Rush Limbaugh, I made sure to listen to the actual audio of every objectionable quotation that I cited. So while I doubt that Mr. Limbaugh was aware of my piece before writing his -- odds are his piece was written before mine was even published -- it would hardly matter if he read it a million times, because I do not inaccurately quote him, or fabricate any quotes at all, or misrepresent what he has said.

There's a youtube of Mr. Snerdley, Rush's call screener, out there which I haven't watched yet but I understand it's very good.

Conner, could you point me to some of your writing where you criticize Obama, Harry Reid, Pelosi, Murtha etc. Because I'm going to take a wild guess and say that you can't. Are you proud of being a paid ho, a tool for the Dems?

From the tone of the WSJ piece, and the fact that Rush used the words "contempt, slander, and libel," I would say he's not a happy camper.

You're a liar.

OK, so Rush does not end up in the consortium trying to buy the NFL team. He now is predicting he will not, for much the same reason (so called racism on his part) be allowed to judge the Miss America pagent. As much as I love Rush, and listen to him pretty much part of every day; a little voice in the back of my head keeps piping up asking "what if he really is just jerking the chain of the race baiters by dangling meat in front of them to lunge at?" . It would be primo Rush were it true, and make spectacle of the Jack Asses the likes of Sharpton and Jackson and their ilk realy are. Either way, things happen for a reason as Rush has said.

The left are being revealed for the liars and racists they are, for all to see. The Drive Bys willingly participate and amplify it in this episode. Whether Rush orchestrated this or is merely exploiting it (in the best sense of the word), what he has done is brilliant.

Rush is worth somewhere in the very high 9 figure range. Very deep pockets. With credit hard to come by these days, Checketts is either going to have to find another billionaire, or drop his bid. THen, the Rams go back to LA. Perfect medicine for the idiot columnist at the St Louie post dispatch.

FATS JUST CAN'T STOP LYING
In his WSJ op-ed, Fats Limbaugh wrote this:
Even after informing him that some people might try to make an issue of my participation, Mr. Checketts said he didn't much care.
On his radio show, he said this:
"Are you aware of the firestorm this --" "Oh, yes, totally aware, Rush, and believe me, I wouldn't have approached you if I hadn't taken care of that. I would not have even come and asked you to be part of the group if I had not cleared your involvement with people at the highest levels of the National Football League."

"FATS JUST CAN'T STOP LYING"
If you call Limbaugh fat, what do you call Michael Moore? Mr. Moore appears to be a good hundred pounds heavier than Limbaugh, even with Limbaugh's greater stature(in all senses of the word).

Rush is down right slim these days. Weightman obviously just dislikes Rush.
