Ann Althouse takes Andrew Sullivan to task for his post in what seems to be something of an explosive meme on Memerorandum today.
Third, if you want to talk crazy, how crazy is it to want so badly to paint Sarah Palin as crazy? She is your political opponent, Andrew, and you don't think she's good enough for high office. It's not so dramatic. It's utterly banal. Ironically, Palin draws energy from your overheated hatred. Have you heard she's about to make $100 million?
But within the headlines of that meme is something of a coincidence that''s just too evil good to ignore, though it's a little bit disappointing to see Josh Marshsall milking the Levi thing for all it's worth.
Marshall: Levi Unloads
and then
Sullivan: Things that make you go hmmm.
I'll spare newer blog readers the nasty details. But when it comes to Andrew Sullivan, milking things, and things unloading that make you go, hmmmm.
Well, what else is there to say, really, other than, Ann Althouse is correct. Andrew Sullivan, of all people, shouldn't really talk about being ... nuts.

Doesn't Levi's own article pretty much refute the contentions of the birthers? He's airing all this dirty laundry but he wouldn't have bothered to also mention how Sarah faked a pregnancy? How bereft of logic and common sense is dapper Andy?

Wow, from the way you wield them, one might get the impression that you believe an innuendo to be some sort of Italian suppository.
As for Althouse, well she does have a tendency to advance "facts" that have no corroborated provenance (ie the birthdates of either of the two Palin babies).
Andrew Sullivan only points out the threadbare quality of Sarah Palin's own narrative.

Ugh...and this is why I no longer read Dr. Sullivan, OBGYN, I really wish people would stop linking to him.

...sounds like Obama and friends!

A match made at a 'glory hole'.
(and no I don't know about this from personal experience. In my day, I traveled in an eclectic circle.)

pat D,
Some of my best friends are liberal arts majors. My IQ is in a fractional part of the top 1% of the country.(The actual number seems like boasting.)I've deliverd a fair number of babies. That being said, I have no idea of what you're saying. COuld you please clarify what is uncertain about the birthdates of Gov Palin's and her daughter's tots. And ,no " Provenance" isn't in France .
SIncerely yours,
Corwin

"Why don't you tell me when & where Trygg and/or Tripp Palin were born AND just how you KNOW that information to be factual."
Your friend Levi just told us that Tripp is his and Bristol's child, and that Trig is Sarah Palin's child.
Do you want to now state that your friend Levi, who you have quoted repeatedly in an attempt to bash Sarah Palin, is lying?
Posted by: North Dallas Thirty | Wednesday, September 02, 2009 at 08:32 PM
Levi Johnston knows more about the Sarah/Bristol/Trig/Tripp situation than any of us. He may not be at liberty to tell all he knows or maybe he just doesn't WANT to for some reason. There's no reason to accuse him of lying at this point and I'm confident Vanity Fair has their story so tight that they will not be sued and his comments will not be refuted, except by Sarah Palin denying it all. His word against hers, and she is a proven liar.
Levi/VF didn't specify whether he was talking about Trig or Tripp. He didn't use names - very noticeable omission since there are two babies and lots of rumors about the origins of one of them. Neither birth date provided by the Palins for the two children has been confirmed by outside sources so please don't say Bristol COULDN'T have had both babies. You don't know that.
And why would Levi be so vague if he didn't mean for there to be speculation about which of the two babies he meant? And if he was referring to Tripp, how would Sarah Palin explain the adoption of a baby out of the blue - after the election, which we presume she meant to win and take the office of VPOTUS - when she already had a Down Syndrome baby a year older to take care of? The comment by Levi makes much more sense if he was referring to Trig. It makes no sense at all if he was referring to Tripp.
I think he was talking about Trig.

He wasn't quite that specific, ND30. Also, I haven't quoted Levi at all, let alone repeatedly. Looks like you are trying to pass a rimshot off for a bulls eye so I am demoting you to North Dallas Thirteen.
Go ahead, any of you, please point out just when and where either of them were born along with the documentation to back up your assertions. Plenty of people have gone over the public record with a very fine toothed comb and aside from being "presented to the world" by the Palins there is no actual documentation of their live-births other than Sarah's say so.
Nice summary Sarah.

Your confidence is rather misplaced.
"In early September, Levi finally landed a job as a roustabout on an ASRC project in Valdez, Johnston said.
Levi did well, showed a good attitude and didn't complain about working in the weather, he said.
After that job ended and layoffs started coming, ASRC offered him a choice of two other positions, one in Cook Inlet and another through the electrical apprenticeship program in the Milne Point oil field, Johnston said.
Levi took the Milne Point gig starting around the first of November. He also decided it would be better to work online toward a regular high school diploma than to seek a GED, his father said."
http://www.adn.com/news/alaska/story/643519.html
And why is that interesting?
"For “Me and Mrs. Palin,” Johnston tells Vanity Fair his story about life with the Palin family—with whom he lived for two months after the election—over the course of his two-and-a-half-year relationship with Bristol."
Thus, Levi Johnston is claiming that he lived with the Palins full-time while working in Valdez and Milne Point.
Incidentally, for the geographically-challenged, Valdez is approximately 268 miles from Wasilla. Milne Point is 35 miles from Prudhoe Bay -- which is a little over 800 miles away from Wasilla.
Now perhaps the liberal parrot Sarah can explain to us how Levi Johnston was commuting a minimum of over 500 miles each day, later increasing to 1600 miles, while living full-time with the Palins.
Or we can just watch her wriggle and spin and try to get off the hook onto which her hatred and bigotry towards Sarah Palin got her.

Funny, Sarah and PatD don't seem like they want to explain why their friend Levi had such a long commute.
Then again, what we're dealing with here are a bunch of Obama cultists. Barack Obama told them that Sarah Palin faked her pregnancy, so they simply cannot believe that Barack Obama would lie to them. They will repeat whatever their Barack Obama told them and spin desperately so that their Barack Obama is always right.
No matter how ludicrous it makes them look.

OK, now your demoted to North Dallas Three.
Levi had that Prudhoe bay gig for a short while until it was pointed out that he was not qualified for an apprenticeship for lack of a HS diploma or equivalent. He lasted two weeks or so before the union had to cut him loose. Which leaves plenty of time to live in the Palin home for a couple of months after the election.
Also, I do not recall Potus (or candidate) Obama ever commenting on Sarah's childbearing activities. Perhaps you could enlighten ?
btw still waiting for any documentation of the Palin baby births. Anything comparable to POTUS Obama's proof of his Hawaiian birth would suffice, ie short form birth certificate etc.

Next time you really should consider reading what you're given.
"In a Sunday newspaper column, Anchorage radio talk show host Dan Fagan questioned how Johnston could take part in ASRC's apprenticeship program without a high school diploma.......
But due to the media attention surrounding the matter, Johnston said he and his son conferred Monday and Levi decided to resign and concentrate on his education."

Published Monday, January 5, 2009.
What did the article state about when he started?
"Levi took the Milne Point gig starting around the first of November."
So let's see; according to Barack Obama and his anti-Palin talking points being repeated here by his parrots PatD and Sarah, the time between the first of November and the fifth of January constitutes "two weeks".
"Also, I do not recall Potus (or candidate) Obama ever commenting on Sarah's childbearing activities."
Of course he has. Andrew Sullivan, the DailyKos, you, and your friend Sarah, all of whom are complete and total supporters of Barack Obama, have all stated repeatedly that Sarah Palin lied and faked her pregnancy. Obama is feeding you that information and is fully supportive of you and your fellow Obama Party members pushing it.
"btw still waiting for any documentation of the Palin baby births. Anything comparable to POTUS Obama's proof of his Hawaiian birth would suffice, ie short form birth certificate etc."
LOL.....funny, before you OPPOSED providing proof. Now you're demanding it of others? That shows the hypocrisy of Barack Obama, given that he spreads lies about Sarah Palin faking her pregnancy as he babbles and spins and insists that anyone who demands copies of his birth certificate is insane and a liar.
